Of all the Chipotle's I've been to between the hours of 12-2pm (ya know, lunch time) this one is by far the most crowded and most crazy.
I've been there a couple times now for lunch and the line wraps around the entire restaurant. Ugh. It moves quickly enough I guess, but that seems to cause the staffers to be rushed. And then food ends up being inconsistent. Most recently I had a bag of soggy chips. Yuck.
It's the only Chipotle near my new office though, so I'm stuck with this one for now. I guess I'll try and not go during prime lunch time…but I'm not sure how that's going to work.
Not technically Halal but they have a vegetarian menu. I had a bowl they also have vegetarian wraps. So you can either have your vegetables and/or meat in burrito with or without rice or in a bowl with rice. It was excellent. There is a long line for food. But it goes fast. They serve alcohol here.. But it is not a bar atmosphere so its ok if you aren't into drinking. The staff is fun and friendly. And the atmosphere is nice.
I order a chicken burrito on a lazy sunday afternoon. I waas the only customer in line at the time and they only have 1 cashier and 1 order taker. They took my order, as usual i watch them build my burrito, right about when the last ingredient is added and they begin to wrap it the tortilla rips, and all the stuff inside is now leaking out. Lady and cashier look at me and i look at the lady building my burrito with the assumption she is going to remake it. Of course she asked me if i would like to just have it re wraped? What is this a gift? What kind of question is that. U screwed up, fix the problem and make it right. Perhaps my expectations are too much?
I asked her kindly to remake it as i dont want to eat a warm tortilla and not taste what is inside my burrito. Well she starts building it again, and long and behold right when she starts to fold the burrito it breaks again. I give up. I told her i would just take it like that, since the skin of the tortilla was only open a little bit. One would think these people are trained to know what to do and how to get things done right for the customer.
Oh well need to find another location where there is better service and where the staff cares about the quality of the food they make..
This is my favorite Chipotle in FIDI. I like that my bowl always tastes fresh even when I order it online. I would highly recommend ordering online, especially during lunch time because the lines are insane. The app makes it so easy. I just order online & walk right in to pick it up.
Really just a ok place for a salad. Portions on the chicken for the salad were small. You think for a $9 chicken salad there be some more chicken.
This is just a fast food salad joint trying to play off the eat healthy mentality of people. The workers just plop your food in a tray n push it down the line.
I can get bigger portions of chicken and pay for weight at Whole Foods so this place is not worthy of a return visit. The salad is over priced for what you get!!!
The only plus is free cold water but you need to bring your own empty water bottle.
Love Chipotle, and the long lines are expected, especially during lunch hours and in the evening. But I went when it was pretty quiet to this particular Chipotle and there was nothing left. No beef, no steak, no chicken. They said that a new batch is being made and it'll be used for my burrito bowl, but I did not see them use the new batch, they used the same old dry steak in my burrito, with hardly any pieces in the burrito, and used guacamole and sour cream to make up for the fact that there was only a few pieces of steak in the burrito. I asked why she couldn't have waited and just gave me more steak, and her response was that they were closing in 20 minutes. Seriously? It's your job!
As far as Chipotle's go, this place is efficient. With a lunch crowd line wrapping nearly around the restaurant, the wait was about 10 minutes to get served.
The staff communicated well together and was very effective. Between making my dish and ringing me out about 6 people handled my order and nothing got lost in translation between the preparation staff and the person at the register; impressive considering my experience at other Chipotle's. My interaction was so short and effective, I could create no judgement on their friendliness.
Aside from the service, you can find entertainment in watching many of their cheapest customers take as many lemon wedges as possible from the drink station to take home with them. I'd be surprised if they don't go through thousands a day considering the number taken during the time I initially filled my drink and as I waited for another person to hog a few more into some portable cups when I tried to get a refill. I know New York isn't known for growing lemons, but I'd assume shipments come into the city frequently.
This location provides an excellent in-and-out experience for a large lunchtime crowd with the same quality ingredients I've come to expect from Chipotle.
Just your typical standard Chipotle chain you can expect. I came here around 9pm so they were winding down and getting ready to pack things up. Maybe this is the best time to order at Chipotle? Who knows. They didn't mess my food up so I'm satisfied.
