It's Chipotle. There isn't much to say about it. The layout is unusual, as the seating is in a big L shape and the soda fountain is copletely out of view of the counter. The line moved quickly when I went, and the food was as it usually is. Quick in and out. Good place to go before a show at Irving Plaza.
Oh Chipotle. When I'm starving and don't know where to eat, you're always there for me.
This particular location is right by Union Square, and has very little indoor seating. After ordering my food, I had to take my food to go b/c there were no seats available. FYI, their bathroom requires a password from your receipt to use it.
Otherwise, the food tastes like your standard Chipotle. And that's fine by me!
I'm not sure why this particular location of Chipotle is so hated on. Well, I have some ideas. But I currently stop by once or twice a month and have a favorite sassy cashier, so it's done right by me. It could use more frequent cleaning and the code-for-the-bathrooms thing can be a bit off-putting, but they still make enormous burritos. Definitely head for the seating around the corner; the long high table does not look particularly comfortable.
This place isnt so bad, but it isn't so good either.
I've come here many times over the years. It's near the Regal 14th street movie theater and near many other stores and the train station. Very convenient and not too crowded most times. They have a lot of seating available and the food is up to par with what you'd find at other Chipotles around the city.
Unfortunately, this place is sometimes riddled with homeless people. I was once approached by a homeless guy who asked for money while I was at the register paying! No Bueno. The staff does try their best to regulate but they can only do so much. Today I saw a homeless woman steal at least 5 red chipotle trays…enough said.
There are times I come here where I don't see any homeless people and the service and food are fine but be alert. I come here because of the convenience. It really isn't as bad as it sounds food wise, but it's convenient location makes it a target for homeless people. The food quality is good but just keep your eyes out for the crazies :/
I love Chipotle but this place is dirty.
What is wrong with people? Every service person in this city has an attitude…
I came here and ordered a burrito as usual and put my receipt in my bag. When I went to use the restroom I noticed it required a code and asked an off-duty employee eating nearby. The girl rolled her eyes and told me to look on my receipt. Then her accomplice laughed at me to my face! Extremely rude, and I'm avoiding this place in favor of Dos Toros, which is two minutes away.
Chipotle, you are awesome.. but can we address the Chips to Guac ratio? I've tried multiple ways to stretch the guac, but it appears only two orders will suffice for one bag of chips. Can we fix this?
Sincerely,
Needing more Guac
Let's be honest: I don't know why I review chains like this*. It's always the same product with a different layout and different employees.
It's fine for a quick meal in a pinch, per usual.
But why do they put the lettuce on top of the gauc and cheese on the veggie burrito bowl? BLASPHEMY!
* – I lied. I know exactly why: it's because it's the end of my work day and I need to pass the next 30 minutes actively.
