Chipotle Mexican Grill

“Great food, I ordered a big bowl of chorizo with the usual toppings, pico de gallo, olives, etc, it was a huge and tasty meal.”

“I loved my burrito bowl with rice, guacamole, sour cream, lettuce, chicken, medium spicy sauce, cheese, and corns!”

“Although ubiquitous throughout Manhattan, you'll find this restaurant to be a fairly typical Chipotle.”

  1. I went to this chipotle today because it was the closest one to me.  The lines were long (which is pretty typical for all chipotle stores) but it took forever to move.  The workers were very slow.

I got a bowl with white rice and chicken.  They barely gave me a scoop of rice and only gave me a few pieces of chicken.  I wonder if it could even be considered half a scoop.  I couldn't get more unless I paid extra?  Of course at the end, only half the bowl or maybe even a little less was filled…but I was charged regular price.

I am very disappointed.  I dont think I will be going back to this location

  2. Came here twice this week because it was near my training classes and just like the rest of the Chipotle's I've been too they are quick, friendly and great service.

  3. I'm sorry, I love chipotle to death. But by far, this is the worst chipotle location I've been too around the city. It resembled a frat house, everyone there was young and irresponsible. People I know it's a college or side job but one thing I don't want to see which I'm sure everyone else would agree is employees playing with foam soap next to the grilling chicken. -_- don't play around while cooking food and especially in an establishment that serves food to people. Now that that rant is out of the way, I really came here for chips and guac. I literally waited (I counted) 8 mins to get a bag of chips, with only one person checking out. The rest of them looked at me like if I was some kind of ghost. "Umm hello I'm here to order chips" there's no reason why it should have taken that long for a side order. After I received my order and my friend got her bag of chips. We sat down. Here's the worst part, the tortilla chips were so flimsy, it struggled to even scoop up a bit of guac. As the scooping dilemma continued, I noticed something hard and immovable in the cup (oh sheesh) I get a knife to see and it's 2 big freaking pieces of avocado. The audacity!! I felt like going up to them and saying "grind this up properly" but no I have morals and class. I overlook it and 2 min into chip eating this was the last straw…I found I don't what it was, a seed or a piece of the core inside. Me and my friend was in disgust. Now imagine that was inside a burrito and it results into choking. We left, not only we're we disappointed and ashamed by the food, service and experience. But I will never return to this location regardless if it's the only one near my school. Disgusting!!!

  4. 3.5 stars
Shared a barbacoa burrito for lunch, only had about 15 minutes to spend. Line was fairly quick. We were able to find a clean table; they have a lot of seating outside if you don't want to be inside it's a bit warm/stuffy.
The burrito had a good amount of meat, rice, corn salsa, and sour cream. It's difficult to eat since it's packed with everything. Should definitely get a bowl instead. It's no different than any other Chipotle. The fountain drinks are horrible, totally flat. Soda tastes bad in general, but this was even worse. Root beer was better than Coke.
I just wanted something quick to share in the area and it was good enough to satisfy me till dinner.

  5. Oh Chipotle. I don't want to like you because I've been Team Qdoba since the beginning. They were first in NYC and then you came up from behind like a ferocious monster and expanded at warp Starbucks speed until Qdoba was no more in Manhattan…although your delicious lime nachos beat Qdoba's, they beat you everywhere else – yes, including their rice, chicken, bistec, etc. Yeah, I said it.

That being said this location is right across the street from the lovely building I work in and on occasion a coworker might ask me to join them here or I may want to get a naked burrito bowl. Food here is consistently delicious.

Prices could be better – I mean they're similar to places where people actually serve me my food, make things for me – fresh to order – and I get to sit down and take in my surroundings.

Here your prices are the same and I have to wait on a line with midtown yuppies and shuffle along with everyone like the hungry cattle that we are until I can break free and head back to my work station so I can eat calmly away from the hustle and bustle that is this Chipotle location from noon until 2pm.

The chicken naked burrito bowl here with black beans rocks. I can make it better, but it does its job and it does it well.

  6. The location is filthy.  The tables and floor and always dirty and nobody is coming around to clean up.  The overall image I get with Chipotle now is they overcharge for a meal w giving you very little food and have dirty restaurants.

It's not what it used to be.  Maybe McDonalds should own it again and clean it up

  7. This location always has major lines, but that's to be expected at every Chipotle. The portions they give you at this location however are abysmally small–my rice barely covered half the bottom of the bowl, not to mention I got like two chunky strands of barbacoa. The barbacoa was also extremely salty, which maybe wouldn't have been so prominent if there was more rice. Also ended up with several giant chunks of raw red onion from the corn salsa in my bowl. Not very appetizing. There are great Chipotle locations, this is not one of them.

  8. I have been hitting up this Chipotle for years.  It is a spacious, fast moving, reliable lunch spot in Midtown West.  There are plenty of places to sit, unlike many of lunch spots in the area.  In addition, they really know how to crank out orders as even when the line is really long, you go from the back of the line to  swiping your credit card in no time at all.

After checking out, as mentioned above, there are plenty of places to sit in an airy space, with high ceilings and lots of windows.  It is a great place to take a break in the middle of a busy work day and space out for a bit  before you head back to the office and crush your afternoon.
