You cant go wrong with chipotle…unless they're out of lettuce and out of soda options. Come on Chipotle!
The good thing is that it's a franchise so it's pretty standard what you're going to get, right? I just ate a burrito bowl and it was as delicious as if I'd gotten it in any other state. So far no E.coli, but as soon as symptoms set in I'll edit my yelp review.
THIS IS THE WORST CHIPTOLE OF ALL TIME.
I have never ever waited SO long for food, or had the food taste so disgusting. I was so sure I had gotten food poisoning from the janky ass chewy chicken. The workers were RUDE and would just leave the counter to go gossip with their friends. They worked slow, they were incompetent. I am honestly cannot believe the experience I had here, Chipotle, as a chain, is usually so efficient and the food at top quality but something is up with this chain. Seriously, the line was wrapped around the restaurant, and took over half an hour to move.
But the most criminal is disgusting chicken they served me and my friends, I wish I had saved it so I could take it back and shut them down. I love Chiptole, I really do. But stay far far away from this chain, your life is on the line.
Located at the foot of the Empire State Building, this Chipotle is much more busier compared to the other Chipotle's that I've been to. This place attracts tourist, regulars and ticket sellers alike.
I decided to stop by here during my lunch break and take advantage of my rewards card and claim my free offer for chips and guac. While waiting on line, I noticed that they're now offering chorizos, and I had to try it! I ordered a burrito bowl with a wrap on the side with everything and guac. The cashier had difficulty processing my order so one of his coworkers had to help him. Other than that, the service was superb. After being Asian to the 10th power, I grabbed a stack of napkins so I can save them for future use at home lol.
The chorizo bowl itself was surprisingly good. The taste resembled somewhat of a spicy steak flavor. Unfortunately, I had to run to the bathroom several times after my meal. Food was good m, but I feel like they could've paid more attention to the cleanliness and the sanitary conditions of the restaurant.
I LOVE Chipotle but I really need them to start wrapping our burritos better. My burrito falls apart most of the time. Grrr. But it's still very delicious. Oh and they really need to fix their vending situation. This is the second time that the Sprite tasted like Seltzer water
As with any chain restaurant, this isn't that bad of a choice for a Midtown lunch. When you walk in during the lunch rush, the line is god awful long but moves quickly enough that it doesn't take up much time. Once you reach the counter, one person scoops the rice or preps the wrap, then another to fill up with the toppings. The options are always fresh and even though it's a generic scooping (no cooking at all) kind of place the flavors go well together. The steak and/or barbabcoa is the way to go as the chicken can be a bit dry at times. I like to have half and half scoops. Getting the guacamole isn't worth it as the upcharge is pretty steep for not much.
I only come here with a coupon that gives you two for the price of one with a co-worker which isn't too difficult to obtain. It's a steal for lunch when it is half price. The space is clean and the counter is always stocked with sauces and extra utensils.
Yes! Finally, those tasty big-ass burritos at Chipotle! We went here right after the visit of the Empire State Building, right at the corner. You walk in and order up front and make your picks. So I opted for a chicken burrito with brown cilantro-lemon rice, black and pinto beans, tomatoes, sour cream, cheese and some lettuce. I also got mine pretty hot as I added salsa to it.
The guys were quite generous cause normally you can either sour cream or cheese, pinto or black beans but we got a bit of everything! Niiiiiice! We also added a regular soda and yes, they serve it PIBB XTRA which you do not find frequently anymore. For this we paid 11 bucks including tax. Quite okay for this fat-ass and very tasty burrito!
The personnel was very friendly and the place kinda comfortable – I mean we are talking fast food restaurant – so they are mostly not very comfy!
Everyone loves Chipotle and this location enhances that reason with generous portions, a far cry from so many other Manhattan Chiptole locations. Despite their premium location, service is both efficient as well as attentive, not seeming too rushed despite the volumes of people. The worst a wait gets is around 1:15-1:30p when the line is about 7-10mins long thus it never quite goes out the door, and otherwise the wait is under 5 minutes, with absolutely no one before 11:30a and in the 3-4p range.
im a believer in second chances. and so despite my crazy rant on yelp where i swore off chipotle forever, when a coupon for a free burrito bowl of choice, no strings, showed up in the mail, i relented. after all, its only one big block away. as always, ordered online, got there and there was really no line to skip. business must be slowing down. they hadnt made my order, but thats ok, because i watched the girl pile it on in ways i have not seen since i was a wee padwan at uc davis biking in scorching 100 weather to bring chipotle back to my then-girlfriend. like big ass scoops, plural, of meat, beans and rice. the bowl was piled so high they had to push it down to close it. yes yes yes. this is how chipotle is supposed to be. like a meal for now and a meal for later. thank youuuuu. and they were nice, all like, oh i put a little heart on it, which i said was really sweet. i have a nostalgic love for chipotle, despite recently raging against it, so it was rather endearing to walk out with one heavy ass bag of food. first bites, yes, full of bounty. not soaking in a pool of salsa juice like usual. no big plentiful servings of rice beans and overly cooked steak. thats why i knocked a star. its overdone af. oh, and they still havent gotten the seasoning right either, its really dependant on the chipotle tobasco sauce for a kick. but all said and done, i forgive you chipotle.
