I'm a fan of Chipotle, but this location won't be taking my money again. When Moe's was here it was nothing but great service, great food, and great portions…now it's in Denville and it sucks.
I was excited that this storefront reopened as a Chipotle and was hoping for their consistently good burritos and portion size…I mean , when you are HUNGRY, nothing fills you up like Chipotle…
Except for THIS Chipotle. I've been here a number of times since they opened, but when I stopped in last week I came here with my daughter (her first time) and we were underwhelmed by the whole visit. First off, if you are going to hire Mumbly Joe to work at your place then maybe he should be a cook and not the one mumbling behind the counter in a noisy restaurant…And when Mumbly Joe can't hear YOU when you are ordering then there is clearly an issue. Second, Chipotle is famous for the size of its burritos…like the size of your face burritos, but here they are just normal Moe's sized burritos…and what they DO put on the burrito is mostly rice-is there some kind of chicken shortage that precludes you from giving me the portion I can get in any OTHER Chipotle??? Finally, the chicken itself – dry as a bone and I didn't know until I got home so it was too late to get some fresh chicken instead.
Looks like I am going to have to find myself another Tex-Mex place…I guess there's Qdoba…
We came there for lunch on a Sunday afternoon as my husband had two for one burrito coupon. There were people inside but not too crowded and there was no line. The place appears pretty clean.
We got 2 burritos, the portions were huge! I couldn't finish it. The food was what you would expect from a fast chain restaurant. I personally had a really bad heartburn after eating there, but my husband enjoyed the food. I'm not going back for their food, but I can see why people like it.
