  1. Ordered: Fries with rosemary garlic mayo

Pros– The fries were freshly prepared and had a nice mix of potato-y and crispy ones. They had a decent sauce variety, including pesto mayo and a mango chutney sauce. This was pretty much a Pommes Frites (truck) knockoff.

Cons– The rosemary flavor wasn't that strong. They only had one size option, large. The menu was on a tv-type screen so the sun glare made it hard to read. The tv-type screen also switched slides so there wasn't a consistent menu to look at.

  2. Good seafood, nice presentation, beautiful truck.

    Food: 4.5 Stars
I have only tried the calamari (with some fries), but I can easily say that I am a fan. Everything from my perspective is fresh and made to order.

The calamari was cooked perfectly and some even had the ever so delicious tentacles, which is something most restaurants remove, or don't serve at all. I loves the crunch each bite of the calamari made as I was eating them.

The fries were still crisp as well, even though they sweated a bit with the heat of the calamari on the way back.

The quantity of calamari wasn't large, but for $7 it was worth it. Next time I see this truck, I will be trying the shrimp which goes for $9.

    Service: 4.5 Stars
After seeing no line for this truck I decided to approach and ask what they had since I had never seen them before (even though there are multiple signs saying its fries, fish, calamari, and shrimp). The gentleman in the truck was more than happy (quickly though) to explain what they had and gave me recommendations on which sauces I should try.

I understand that it is normal for someone to explain their product, but people do respond better when they perceive their responses to be more sincere and caring of the product in question.

The presentation of the cones the food is served in is a big plus as well.

    Speed: 4 Stars
Even though I was the only person on the line at the time (1:30ish) I received my food within 5 minutes. I would normally assume that they are serving me frozen calamari, but I saw the cook (chef) put flour on the calamari himself and fry it. Needless to say he knew what he doing since the calamari was perfectly cooked.

    Overall: 4.25 Stars
I never heard of Chipsy King until today and I am happy that most other trucks had ridiculously long lines so I could try them out.

I am unsure if $7 for fries is worth it, but they were rather good and crunchy.

The catchiest part of this truck is the colors and the original look, not to mention the tulips they had one the side (first time I have ever seen flowers at a food truck). They also have a little lineup of cones they put the food in with a piece of carrot, lemon wedge and parsley. They give off a fresh vibe to the truck.

The service was good, the calamari was great. I highly recommend giving them a go if you see them in the area.

  3. Tasty fries and sauces. Marco behind the counter is a sweetheart. However, I'm knocking off a couple stars because there's only ONE size. Wish there were a smaller and less expensive option.

  4. French fries are my favorite food ever and these French fries are DELICIOUS! 5 stars for the food. I loved how even the fries at the bottom of the cone were whole (at Pomme Frites, it's often just the little bits in the end) and not too soggy.

I didn't think $7 was too much. I split it with a friend (which is definitely what you should do because it's a huge portion…), so it's only $3.50 each.

I'm taking a star off because they were insanely slow and inefficient. The line was a little long. It really should not be that hard to dole out French fries, but they ran out of change and they didn't have one of the main "free" sauces. I was mildly annoyed until I tasted the fries… and they're totally worth it.
