Pork with garlic sauce over rice ($7) and dumplings ($3) made for a hearty meal. Pork was served over a shit load of rice. Dumpling skins were a bit overdone but that is to be expected from an operation that does not specifically focus on dumplings. It wasn't perfect but for the price I can't complain. In this case, I discarded the remaining rice after my meal. If i were better organized, I would take the rice home and make fried rice afterward. It was fairly well cooked rice which is more than I can say for some real, sit-down Chinese restaurants.
The "sesame chicken" was just battered and fried fatty gristly chicken chunks coated with a salty vinegary tomato sauce that tasted nothing like I would expect. Thankfully the portion of meat was small. However, the sauce went really well with noodles, which they graciously granted me instead of rice as per my request, and the portion of noodles was really gigantic. So, I'd go back for the noodles (thus 2 stars instead or 1), but will avoid the chicken at all costs, blech, no thank you.
