Churchill’s
“I've never been to this bar before when coming to hang out in RVC but I'll be sure to visit again!”
“Eating a burger on an English Muffin is exponentially better because you can enjoy the juices of the burger without getting a soggy bun!”
“For the bar scene it definitely is a mixed crowd but the outside bar is nice especially in the summer and it tends to be where the younger crowd migrates to.”

Stopped in for lunch today on a whim. It was a little pricy for lunch. The food was average to above average. We really enjoyed the firecracker shrimp appetizer. We oredered filet mignon sliders.l, they were cooked exactly how we ordered them. We also had the crispy buffalo chicken wrap ,it was tasty, the greens were mushy and wilted, not sure if they were supposed to be that way, but I prefer my greens raw or just blanched. Service was good considering the place was fairly packed. Just was one waitress and a busy boy serving the tables. I would return for dinner, if the menu is the same.
What can I not say about Churchill's. The food is delicious and the service has always been great. My only complaint is that they did recently changed their sweet potato fries and they now taste like cardboard, but given the fact that the other food options are delicious, I won't hold it against them.
You do have to look out though when a major sporting event going on, this place can get really packed making it difficult get a seat. The outdoor patio is large and can serve as a great place for larger parties.
Long story short, this is one of the only places that I will frequent in the Rockville Centre area.
Came here for dinner on a Saturday night during dinner time, the staff were very warm and inviting. We were lucky enough to be seated right away and our server came by promptly and took our drink order with a smile on his face. When he returned with our drinks he took our order. I must say their server was exceptional and I was very pleased.
Now on to the food:
I decided to go with their BBQ chicken bites and blue cheese dipping sauce as an appetizer. They were cook perfectly and smothered in BBQ sauce.
For and entrée I decided to go with their church burger on a potato roll with fries. The bun was fresh and soft and the meat, even though it was a little under cooked to my liking, it was very good.
Overall it was a good dining experience in the RVC on a Saturday night.
I've come here several times, some for different kinds of parties and other times just to meet up for a casual night.
The inside area is pretty chill- typical bar part seperated from seating and booths. I find it be cozy, chill, good food and fun music. The outside area is pretty decently sized, between the bar part and the seating part. The outside seating part even provides heaters if I remember correctly. Drinks are usually good. Most people usually have a good time.
I can provide the catered, private party perspective. If you're looking for the dine-in or nightlife scene, I'll have to report back to ya. This past weekend we had a baby shower for my cousin here. Let's just say we took over that place by storm. There is a main dining area and a sectioned off area for the bar. We definitely took over most of this space. The poor souls watching sports at the bar had to listen to us girls fawn over the cute baby clothes and toys.
Churchill's provided us with a lovely brunch buffet. There was an assortment of eggs, sausage, bacon, rigatoni ala vodka, salad, potatoes and lemon chicken. The food was great and very organized. They even provided us with a nice big bowl of fruity "spiked" punch. On the tables there were baskets of muffins, breads and bagels galore.
The servers were very helpful and on top of their game, making sure everyone's glass was full and plate was cleared. I also really enjoyed the atmosphere. It's pub style… just how I like it. If you're having an event and you're in need of a space, I would recommend here!
I had a cheeseburger and a glass of wine. Courteous friendly staff. Perfect medium rare burger. I had one of my friend's onion rings which was killer delicious. I will return for more!! For you young'uns, it's an older crowd.
The diversity in this restaurant and surrounding area seems…lacking.
This review is for a firm event that I attended, so my experience is likely atypical.
Food: mediocre at best, but perhaps the pasta, lemon chicken, and vegetables were made so that it would be the lowest cost for a buffet-style meal for 50 people.
Service: this made it gain one star. The wait-staff was extremely friendly and attentive!
Decor: darker than I like. There's also a sports bar and the place is filled with televisions, even in the private dining room.
I can't rave enough about how awesome thief staff is!! Every single time I come in, the bartenders and waitresses are ways so friendly and ready with great suggestions.
With so many restaurants and bars packed into RVC, this one has become a favorite. The food is always delicious and the wait is never long.
Definitely give it a try.
