Ciccio’s Pizza

“Perfect amount of sauce and cheese, and while I'm typically never a fan of crust, the sesame seeds made it delicious.”

“Next we have to try their other food besides pizza but it's so hard to pass on the Sophia Loren!”

“They do more than just pizza as well, it's worth checking out, and best of all, they deliver to a pretty distance from where they're located.”

When we got pizza from this local place it was always a quick, still warm and slamming.
Dough and sauce are always delicious. We like the square pizza the most (Upside down) with fresh mozzarella.

  2. We've ordered pizza here a few times and the actual pizza isn't bad. Although whenever we call ahead to pick up a pizza, it never tastes fresh. We ordered one yesterday and it tasted as if they had just reheated the pizza. Another time we ordered delivery and they didn't deliver even after 45 min wait. When we called they said it was on the way. Waited another 15 min and called again to cancel. We live about ten minutes away.

  3. Places like this are a dying breed….unfortunately.

Ciccio's is a great local pizzeria that serves up some Delicious pizza ! It's a typical pizzeria , kinda small inside – where you walk up to the counter, order & either take your food home or sit at one of the table (if they are available) .

The guy at the counter was friendly & helpful. Pizza man in the back seemed to be hard at work making those amazing pies.

It's seems that all the specialty pies have a sesame crust which just adds that much more flavor and contrast to a plain crust. Sauce was great, crust was nice & crispy. Pizza wasn't too heavy or even greasy. The rice ball has some serious amount of chopped meat in it! One small gripe I have is that I heard someone ask for a specific slice but they didn't have it available ….so I assume as good as the pizza tasted and looked & the variety was good they must offer and make much more than I saw. One thing I did find interesting is that they sell Nutella pizza. Didn't try, too full…maybe next time.

By the way, love the old skool feel w/ the boys hanging out in the front chatting it up….like I remember Brooklyn!

  4. Didn't know anywhere in the area, so off to Yelp! for a lunch spot. Avenue U is known for being an Italian food Mecca, and Ciccio's is doing their part. I tried two slices, a Neapolitan and Ciccio's Special. The plain was really good, everything you want in a high quality pizza- thin, crisp enough for crunch when you fold it, and not flop over when you eat it. Not salty, not sweet, no too oily.. Light and fresh would be the best description, or if you need one word, excellent. The Ciccio's Special, well it is special. This slice had s similar sesame seeded crust, but a little more well done to give it more flavor. Then add a slightly sweet crushed tomato sauce, and top it with fresh mozzarella and basil. (Insert your favorite superlative adjective here)!! Quite deservingly called the Special, and will be a staple for all future visits to Ciccio's

  5. Pizza is great! It's hard to decide where to get your pizza from in an italian neighborhood. Delicious regular pizza And white pizza! Yummy sesame seeds dance on the edge of every slice. However the garlic knots are tiny maybe not as big as I am used to seeing but I felt like I wouldn't order those again cause they were so small. Besides that order take out and easy pick up! Deliciousness guaranteed

  6. Pizza is so good, I come here usually when Im at work because its around the way.

The slices are hot, fresh, thin and nice crust! (Sounds like my boyfriends type of girl, lol)

Love the sesame seed crust adds a nice taste and texture to the bread. Sauce is good and the workers are pretty nice too. Small shop but you can sit and enjoy your slice if theres room.

You can get a nice pie for $11.00 and its worth it.

  7. The pizza here is delightful. The crust is perfectly thin and crispy, just like it should be. Definitely one of the best pizzas I've ever had! The sesame seeds in the crust are a nice touch but I could also do without them. Would give them a 5 but my slice was a tad burned.

  8. Awesome pizza.  The Sophia Loren was bursting with flavor.  Love the crispy crust with the sesame seeds.  Has a very neighborhood feel, very Italian.  Fully delicious.
