I said it the best hazelnut coffee in long island. They make coffee the right way steamed and roasted to perfection. Reminds me of good italian coffee in venice on the san marcos plaza. Yeah it is that good. The difference is that they know how to make coffee. Its properly grinded and steam brewed to retains the natural oils from coffee beans. Cipollini Pronto get that right on!
This place can get crowded really quick especially during lunch time. Service is friendly and relatively quick.There really isn't much room to enjoy a quick lunch but they do have outdoor seating but it tends to get hot quickly especially during long island summers. Sitting by the window, leaning against your chair, watching construction going on next door isn't the best but sipping really good hazelnut coffee – incredibly wonderful!
They have wonderfully fresh sandwiches, juices, pastries and cookies. Did I mention the coffee 🙂 – oh, yeah….fantastic!
I can't comment on the food since we only came here for drinks but when I see Italian hot chocolate it's like a must for me….. yeah they didn't have Italian hot chocolate, either they were just out (it was only like 1 pm when we went so whatever) or they don't have it anymore at all?….. the girl just said we don't have Italian hot chocolate like I ordered something not right there on the wall lol…. whatever…. so I was like okay regular hot chocolate then…. it was very good though so yeah makes up for it….
my hubs had a hazelnut coffee after I saw another review saying it was amazing, he loved it. he even wanted to go back and get more lol but I was like no….. I dunno how I never knew this place was here until last night stalking yelp lol…. actually I'm sure I knew it was here I just didn't know exactly what it was…
long island should get more places like this, with real tasting hot chocolate. I dunno why nyc seems to be the only place that gets the good stuff and most places around here are like swiss miss lol…. so yeah if you want some real hot cocoa come here….
Coworker and I came here for lunch. I loved the Tomato Soup, the Grilled Chicken Panini. The Chocolate Brownie was so decadently good that I almost wanted a second one for later and third one to bring home to my husband. I will come back every time when I am there!
Right behind Cipollini, essentially on the other side of Americana Mall, there lies a smaller but equally as delicious restaurant/cafe/quick to-go spot that goes by the name Cipollini Pronto Caffe.
Cipollini and Cipollini Pronto Caffe both share a kitchen, so you can bet your bottom dollar that you'll be getting quality Italian dishes. However, most of the dishes, salads, and sandwiches are pre-made and/or pre-packaged, but I never had an issues with stale bread and soggy, flaccid salad. They also have delicious pine nut cookies, rainbow cookies, and coffee for the tired shopper who needs the extra 1,2 step mid-spree.
It's a small space with an indoor communal table for sitting and 8-10 outdoor patio tables that are available during warmer summer months. I love eating outside at Cipollini Pronto Cafe because it's surrounded by the mall's beautiful seasonal garden and far from the parking lot and cars.
As for the menu, there's a whole variety of items that change from day to day but it usually ranges from a mixed salad of some sort, stuffed green peppers, blt sandwiches, chicken/eggplant parm cutlets, lasagna, baked zitti, and they also make pizza to order. They also have sandwich melts, paninis, and my all-time favorite tomato bisque!
This Cipollini Pronto location is great for shoppers and even for those of you who just want to quickly grab a bite while in the area on Northern Boulevard, Manhasset, and Great Neck. My mom and I love it here!
