I thought for my 200th review that I would review something special, I couldn't really think of anything, so I settled for something mediocre. Don't get me wrong, this place is fine, there's just nothing that stands out.
There's a sign outside that boasts "$2 regular Slice!!" like that's some sort of an incredible deal. Being that this place is called Square Pizza, I thought that maybe the sign referred to one of their regular square slices; nope. $2 for an ordinary, plain, triangular cheese slice. Womp!
I asked for it crispy, as I always do, and it came out piping hot. A little oregano, chili flakes, and a dash of parmesan and I was ready to ingest. The slice was of good size, perhaps even a little above average, and it had ample cheese, but like I stated before, there was nothing that stood out; nothing special.
It's $3 for pepperoni, and Im not sure about the other slices- I would a$$ume that the price goes up for every topping you add. There were also numerous Sicilian (square) slices available with different topping combos. They also have a pretty full Italian menu with calzones, pastas, and even hot heroes. There were probably 5 tables for sitting inside. Sadly, the best part about this place, in my opinion, were the Mafia themed movie posters that adorned the walls.
With so much competition in the LES, I doubt I'll be back.
ah, pizza. just thinking about the word makes me smile. so you better believe i was pumped when this spot opened in my hood. dig the employees and the prices. the pizza is perfect. it's classic new york pizza.. how can ya go wrong with that? they deliver and if you wanna get a lil wild (you know you do), try out their white 'za.
Steve's a helluva nice guy and took care of us at his place. Great slices, and the Sicilian is excellent. Take note, really tasty garlic knots too and 4 for a buck. Great stop for a quick fame dinner. Thanks Steve from the family from Nevada. Cheers brotha!
