My First Experience
Environment: Empty. There was only one person in staff in the whole restaurant.
For a Monday night, the music was too loud and did not fit with the restaurant. Dancehall music in the background while you are trying to have a romantic date, oh yeah. Hearing Vbyz Kartel talk about back shots in the Gaza, made me feel so peaceful! The seats were uncomfortable, I mean the bar stools almost felt like a bicycle seat without padding. During the date, I was so focused on the seat compromising my fertility because, the seat felt like bricks. Also, the blinking lights irritated my eyes to the point I thought epilepsy was in my future.
Experience: Aside from my date ordering only one plate of food, the food was good. I told my date I was hungry and he only ordered one plate of food. He ordered Jerk Wings & French Fries. I was like "Make that two" and he replied "no." Tell me I should have not started flipping tables. I just came from class and you think I'm going to share a plate of food with a grown man I have just met? The blinking lights and loud music was giving me a high and you have the nerve to not feed me? Let's just say someone got dropped off at bus stop and I drove happily home.
Bartender: Her face was glamorous but her attire was rather interesting. She had a chef's or large jacket that look like she just came from a bar herself. Do you work here, or were you doing someone a favor?
Check: My date asked the bartender for a receipt in which she responded "The person that gives people receipts is not here." So I asked her how will we know how much the food was if we have no receipt?" She looked bewildered and responded "The person is not here." May I add my date didn't get his change back and she disappeared?
I attended a party here last night. This is the second time I've been here and honestly it's not for me. Unwanted advances. Lack luster drinks. The smell of what clearly isn't hookah. I think in the day it runs a restaurant, but I haven't had a chance to taste it. A major compliant is the bathroom situation. There are only 2. How does an establishment advertise themselves as a nightclub and only had 1 restroom per gender. The lines get ridiculous and the patrons start going in there in groups of 3-5 men & women(whom obviously aren't using the bathroom for what it was intended for).
There's two parts to the place. Initially, you walk into a bar and then it turns into a restaurant. It's located right off of Merrick Blvd and Laurelton Parkway. It's in a quiet neighborhood. There's not much action in the vicinity or at Clippers on a weekday. It's a cool place to come to if you want to have a drink and listen to chunes dem.
