Their food is pretty good. It is at a good price but the menu is limited. And they started making it with less salt and spices at the request of customers I was told so if you like salt and it a little tasty you should ask them to add some or you might find it a little bland. (The Pakistani guy that works there will do that for you don't know if anyone else will). But the nice thing about this restaurant is they have a nice selection of salad items to put on your gyro or rice dish. But there is no place to sit (they only have one seat) so better to get take out from them.
I thought I'd seen everything. But this was definitely the first time I've been to a Halal street meat… store.
The signage and stock photos are a dead giveaway, but it's actually a relatively nice space.
The veggies are fresh and there's a grill in the back in plain sight. I ordered the falafel sandwich, and the only guy working there threw it on the grill. Took longer than I cared for (someone else came in, ordered chicken over rice, paid and left in the time it took my falafel to cook).
I will say that it was crispy, but I've definitely had better before. The white and red sauces were also nothing to write home about. Pretty much sums up this place too.
I just moved into the neighbor a month ago…so of course I have to try ALL the local fair. This places is just steps from the subway so if you needed something before going home this is a great little spot to stop.
the set upis very food truckish just in a store you can see everything which I like. The food is pretty good…especially the gryon chicken or lamb. But I was not a fan of the falafel.
good spot for a quick deilicous gyro I will be back:)
