  1. For Queens, this is a pretty solid sports bar. I went here to pre-game for a wedding. Maybe not the place you want to walk into in a fancy dress but it will do pig, it will do. They have a very good happy hour deal. Which I wasn't even looking for or expecting. Mostly, myself and my friend did not want to be the first to arrive and it was boiling outside. Air conditioning, $3 wells, $3 bottles, $4 everything on tap, and $5 margaritas. Can't be beat. Especially for trekking all the way out to Forrest Hills on a Friday night. Shots were also relatively cheap, $5.  Because that happened with tabasco sauce. Yes. Bartender had never heard of vodka and tabasco but he did not mind giving me some. He also did not mind giving me his pen when I realized I forgot to buy and sign a card. The margaritas were a little bit too syrupy for my taste. So I only had one. But the syrup had a good taste to it at least! Bathrooms are a little ick. But I approve for the convenience of its location along a strip of Duane Reads/McDonalds.

  2. We saw there were 30 cent wings on nights when the Yankees or Mets were playing so we decided to check it out. Then we found out we have to buy a pitcher of beer if you want 30 cent wings, which isn't bad, $10 for typical domestics like Bud Light and Coors Light, $15 for others like Sam Adams. We tried McKenzie's Dark Cherry Hard Cider, thinking it was cherry flavored beer. Then we tasted it and it was sweet like juice. It didn't taste bad but it wasn't what we were expecting because it didn't say cider on the menu. For cider, it tasted pretty good. The wings come in batches of 10, 25, 40, 100. The wings are 30 cents only at the time you order the pitcher. The reason we found out is because we wanted to order another round of wings but the waitress said it will be regular price unless we order another pitcher. The wings themselves were decent. Typical fried wings tossed in sauce. We tried Jack Daniels, Hot Honey BBQ and regular Buffalo. The Jack Daniels was a sweet brown sauce with a subtle spicy kick to it. The Hot Honey BBQ had more BBQ flavor to it and the Buffalo was pretty standard. Not bad but not great. I would come back since it's close to home but it's not a place I would crave to visit. I could make better wings at home if I felt like taking the time out to cook them.

  3. The first beer I ordered exploded foam in my face from the tap and all over my arms. I am no sissy and have been covered in beer more times then I will share publicly, so message me for details..kidding..
The beer selection for such a long bar, where there is ample space for more was lacking, but the MOD or owner (did not ask his title) mentioned more taps were on the way. I will defiantly return to see whats been decided upon for craft beers.
The menu is really limited, but the half pound burger I ordered was really good, but nothing unique nor extreme was available as a topping. I ordered a fried egg to top my bacon and american cheese and the waitress almost fell over with surprise. Amp up some unique toppings folks, nothing to loose and everything to gain. Considering the limited menu, its a must!
The ribs were freaking excellent for a shot in the dark for a offbeat bar menu item, with an additional side of BBQ and there were only gnawed bones that remained on the plate.
Ordering fires "Well Done" requires extra cooking time, I know its a minor request but it really matters to the customer.
    Very cute servers during lunch!

  4. On the strip of queens blvd lies a pub with cheap drinks, spacey interior and on point waitstaff. Came here on a Saturday night to watch the Knicks game ( Linning!!! ). There was about 15-20 of us and thankfully there wasn't many others around since we were cheering so hard for our boy J-Lin.

    The low down…

    Jack n coke – $5.50
    Malibu Baybreeze – $5.50
Cesar Salad – $10-11 ( the wifey forgot pricing lol )

There was only 1 waitress that night but she was on her A game. She wasn't too clingy to get us to buy drinks but waited for us to finish and then asked. Signs of veteran which is a plus in my book.  TV's were all around thou i wish it was a bit bigger ( 32inch is a bit small for my bat vision).

I was surprised that there wasn't that many people here but at the same token glad since i can come here to watch the game without the crowd.

Cobblestone.. you had me at $5.50 cocktails and the space to stretch without having to bump into someones ear lobe on a Saturday night.

Oh and the Knicks won. 100-98.

    "the shots keep falLin"

  5. 3.5 stars.

I went to watch the Mets game with a bunch of friends. So luckily they have a large area in the back for groups. They were able to accomodate 15 of us with no issues. The bar is definitely a great place to watch a sports game. They have tv screens all around. We were able to watch the game on two large tv screens. Score. The wait staff was friendly and accomodating. They were always attentive. The pitchers were $15. What a great deal when the glass is $6. I ordered my usual, jack daniels and coca cola, but it was slackin'. We ordered pitchers of Stella and Shot Top. It was great. The menu is your typical bar food menu, chicken wings, burgers, fried pickles, etc. Orders were flying for the chicken wings of all different flavors. My friends enjoyed them. I decided to order the chicken quesadilla. To be honest, it was alright. Nothing wow. The pitchers and glasses were always being refilled. We had a great time. Ill probably check this place out again for another sports game.

  6. Cobblestone's was a pleasant surprise. I'm pretty sure I've passed this place many a time for the past decade or so when I was a college student.

So when a group of us wanted to grab some drinks on a Wednesday evening, it was either here or LIC. Here was easier; my friend said that the drinks were on point.

This pub is a true blue local joint. Unpretentious, and yes, the drinks were great. It's also much bigger than it appears to be (isn't that always nice?). There's a front area by the bar, some seating and tables in the middle (where we sat), and what looked like an unoccupied dinner area in the back. Bathroom is downstairs. Be careful when making turns so you do not end up in the men's room like I almost/did.

  7. I wanted to watch the Colombian soccer game with a few friends who live in the area and they recommended this place. This place its sort of a weird layout. Looks small from the outside but its actually a really big place. when you come in its like a regular pub with a big long bar and some high tables in front of it then as you go inside there is a large dining room area that looked like a college cafeteria.

They have TVs everywhere playing pretty much every sport which was great. They had a lot of servers which is usually a good thing but we had so many different people taking our orders and bringing our stuff I had no idea who was even our waitress.

They had $5 margaritas which were very tasty and strong and beer and wing deals during the game which was great.
I got to try the hot BBQ wings, Jack Daniels, their loaded fries (gravy and cheese) and fried pickles. I have to say all of the food was great especially the fries and hot BBQ wings (which weren't spicy)

Now the bathrooms were downstairs and they were so strange. I felt like I was back in elementary school. This place could really use a make over.

  8. We came for drinks and desserts and were pleased with each. The service was okay, and the place was willing to change the channel on one of the TVs for us so we could watch the Stanley Cup playoffs amongst all the basketball. Would return for a drink and dessert again.
