  1. Pretty cool place although they had no AC during the summer! I used to just walk by because if was too hot in there.  I'm the type of person who likes to drink hot coffee all year long but only in a air conditioned environment lol

Besides that, I've been here about 3 or 4 times in the past year and the service is always on point! More importantly the latte is creamy, warm, and bold. It was Delicious!!!

I also had their croissants and quiche too, both were good.  The food selection is small but that's what I come to expect from coffee shops.

  2. A good coffee shop isn't hard to find. An amazing coffee shop is harder to find.

I was doing business in the area, and looked up to find this cute little corner spot. I wanted a coffee in addition to a tea of some sort. I walked in, they have these really cute wooden couches with cushions for people to sit and chill/work on.

I ordered a coffee — They brew their own! AMAZING
And ordered some sort of lavender iced tea! HOLY CRAP — It was so so good. I don't know what they put in that but it was refreshing, tasty and super delicious.

Now every time I come to the neighborhood I stop by and get a coffee at coffee mob.

  3. Gem of a spot in the neighborhood. This is like the only place open after "blizzards." Came here the first time while the owner purchased some art. The baristas are friendly but not intrusive. I've come here a couple times and reggae always seems to be playing. Must be the it thing at this place right now.

I do wish the space was bigger so there were more and better places to sit. The benches on the side are a bit small for my big ol bottom and there are a few stools. Hope they become successful enough to expandddddd.

  4. slightly hipster coffee place randomly appears while we're walking around the Newkirk Plaza area. On a hot day the sign for cold lemonade drew us in, and boy was it lemonade – it was very sour and we could sweeten it as we liked with the provided simple syrup. A small, but comfortable place to sit and chat, we made friends with the barista. Records playing in the background which were fun to peruse while cooling our heels. Would love this place up in Harlem.

  5. After a couple hours worth of walking around Brooklyn, my friends and I wandered into Coffee Mob after seeing a sign for fresh squeezed lemonade (ironic, no?).  We walked in and were quite surprised by what we saw.  This looks like some place out of Park Slope or parts of the West Village.  Wood furniture, small tables, a turn table playing music and a nice blackboard with the menu written on a wall.    It feels friendly and modern without being pretentious in any way.

The gent who took care of us was super friendly and even let us sample something if we were unsure of whether we'd like it or not.  My girlfriend ordered the Cascada Tea and I ordered a Dirty Chai – both on ice.  The Cascada was really interesting.  It's made from coffee beans but tastes more like an herbal tea, but with flavors of dates.  The dirty chai was really interesting.  Unlike the one from say, Starbucks, its flavor focused more on the anise spice, and it was wonderfully savory.  The coffee gave it an extra dimension that was really nice.

I had a really nice time hanging out at Coffee Mob and would go back any time I'm in the area.  As a final note, Coffee Mob is Cash Only, so bring at least $5-10 with you when you visit.

  6. I came here with my date after we spent two hours walking around in the freezing cold  looking for somewhere to have lunch. We figured we would stop here to check the GPS and have some hot chocolate to warm our spirit and bodies up. The hot chocolate was delicious but they didn't have whipped cream! But the barista was nice enough to give me loads of marshmallows instead to make up for it. The hot chocolate wasn't very sweet but it was tasty. We also got a chocolate chip cookie and a brownie. The brownie was a bit dry but the crispy chocolate chip cookie was delicious. I would have licked the plate clean if I wasn't on a date. The shop itself is very small with limited seating [they do have a bathroom though!]; but the seats are sort of cool. They are built into the wall but they don't offer back support. On a side note, be sure to bring cash as they don't accept cards and the menu is on a chalkboard to the left of you when you come in.

  7. Nice little hipster cafe selling expensive decent drinks.

  8. I was super surprised to find such a place in this part of Brooklyn. It's a quaint, quiet place. The barista who took care of me was really sweet. Unfortunately, my dirty chai had a weird taste. Not bad, but definitely weird. I'll probably just stick to coffee next time! Thumbs up to this place for non-dairy milk options 😀
