Got two slices of cheese pizza to go.
Sauce: mediocre at best
Cheese: not enough
Dough: Could be better.
Overall, I've had better pizza elsewhere.
Solid pizza choice for the area. They're a little slow. They're not open late night. But it's cheap and good when you can get it!
I've become cool to Como. It's not just that every school function slaps you with a slice of free pizza, but it's also that I've come to realize that Como isn't all that tasty compared to other NYC pizzerias. Sorry for my earlier misguidance. Still, Como might be the best in the immediate neighborhood…
This is a quality slice of pizza in Washington Heights. It is cheap (I believe $2.25 a slice), delicious, and enormous. The service is quick and friendly. You can't go wrong with this place.
This place didn't impress me much. The pizza is too greasy.
The only reason why this got 3 stars is because it was my go-to-spot right after track meets dying from hunger since The Armory Track is a block away.
Had two slices last night, the Sicilian I thought was very good, and a real flaky crust, the regular slice was also good, prices are pretty good as well, much better than the other pizza place that's close by.
Conveniently located right next to the stairs of the 168th street stop, this was my go-to pizza place in Washington Heights. The 2 cheese slices for $4 is a great deal to get a filling meal for cheap. I have tried pepperoni, bacon, sausage, mushroom, and spinach, but the plain cheese is my favorite. The employees have always been nice here as well. I'll be sure to grab a slice or two the next time I'm in the area.
I can't speak to how this place compares to the neighborhood, but I ordered a pie from here the other day and it was only so-so. Reasons:
1) The dough was actually nice and cripsy, but too thick.
2) The mozzarella was laid on too heavy. I love cheese but I don't need it thick as a carpet.
3) It was kinda greasy.
Overall, it was still not terrible or even not bad.. But 2 stars officially means "Meh. I've experienced better." And that was exactly my reaction.
