  1. NYC has a myriad of these Irish pubs all over and based on neighborhood they have the same look and feel.  This is a typical midtown version.  The drink is beer and the food is burgers / fish and chips, etc.

The waitresses are always friendly and the atmosphere is calm, cool and collected.

Honestly, if you blindfolded me and dropped me off at one of these, I could never tell you one from the other.

  2. I work overnights, so after the blizzard of 2015 that wasn't, I needed a place to hang out while MetroNorth got going again.  My buddy and I tried a couple of places, but they were closed.  We both seemed to remember this place at the same time.  It's been years since I've been here, but I remembered having a good time.  Thankfully they were open at 10 am.

We ordered beers and watched tv.  We were the only patrons for about an hour.  It was nice.  The bartender was very friendly and knew why we were there so early, thanks for not being judgmental.  He poured us a huge shot of Jameson before we left.  That one beat me up.  I did make my train though.

Next time I really want to try the food.  It looks great.  The beers are a bit expensive, but it's midtown, so you should know that going in.  The pints are $8 each.

  3. If I could rate a 3.5, I would.

For bar atmosphere: I'd rate a 4. It's your typical Irish pub. Busy, typical beers on tap, and a table available to squeeze in. Nothing special, but what I'd expect if I was in an 'Irish bar mood'.

For restaurant: I'm giving this a 3. Little on the menu, food was mediocre but service was pretty good. Not many choices on food options. Since it was Irish, prob should have opted for a traditional dish. But since I'm watching the waistline, I got the salmon. I think it's swimming in my stomach, 4 hours later…Also had the spinach and artichoke dip which was so-so. Server was friendly, food came quickly. But definitely not a place I'd return if my stomach was calling for some fuel.

  4. My husband and I were in desperate need of a sports bar in which to watch the recent Packers v Patriots game (go Pack!) near our Midtown hotel. This fit the bill perfectly. There are multiple tvs and the extremely friendly Irish bartender (he has an accent but said he's from upstate…not sure about that one) will tune the television to your viewing preferences – as long as it's a sport.

We sat at the bar for the entirety of the game and ordered several beers as well as the fish & chips and the nachos. Both were delicious and recommended, particularly on a cold, rainy night when some comfort food is in demand. The other patrons at the bar were extremely friendly and the bartender ended up giving us a couple of beers on the house, which is always good in my book.

The bar itself is comfortable and clean. The staff is all friendly and competent. It was a bit pricey, but what can one expect in Midtown?!

  5. The family came her after the Macy's Day parade and what a great find…the other great surprise the the Thanksgiving special they had on the menu. I know all my girls were a little bummed that we were traveling during the holiday and weren't able to get the traditional holiday meal, but this pub didn't fall short one bit in taste, flavor or portions. We really lucked out as soon as the parade was over we headed over and got right in…we had excellent service service and not one negative comment at all. It was a great place to warm up, grab a pint and enjoy family and some excellent food.

  6. Decent food nice bartender their house red beer was fantastic. Lots of choices. A little pricey but isn't everything in NYC? Not crowded walked right in at 10 or 11 on a fri night got a table for the 5 of us next the bar. Id go back.

  7. Great Irish Saying: "It is better to spend money like there's no tomorrow than to spend tonight like there's no money!".. With so many Irish eateries in NY, it's like having Starbucks on every corner in LA.

Went during lunch, not too crowded, service was good, food was decent, ambiance was Irish and prices were reasonable. So, "here's to being single, drinking doubles, and seeing triples"!

  8. Standard midtown pub with two levels – bar and seating on both levels.  Large choice of menu items and everything is standard pub fare.  Everything here is fine, no issues and no standouts.

Service for lunch was prompt & courteous.

Good for business lunches or drinks after work.
