  1. Came to Corfu Grill with a friend to get some drinks before seeing a play at Queens Theater. From the front door I realized the place was very small. It's around 10 tables maximum and about 5 seats at the bar so we were very lucky to see an open two seater table which was the only table available.

When we got the menus, it was 7:00 so we were even more excited because it was happy hour. Happy Hour is from 4-8 there with 1/2 off drinks and and an extensive $4 Food menu. We ordered chicken fingers, fries, and spinach pie to share. She had sangria and I had a glass of wine which ended up being a total of $21! The food was very tasty and the service was fast and friendly.

  2. Heed the advice of the fellow Yelpers and come here to try their Lunch Specials.

For just $10, you can get a soup/salad, a meat, and a side of fries/rice/lemon potatoes.

I always opt for lentil soup/befteki with rice. Although the food here isn't superb, their pricing is definitely a plus.

TIP: Only come here if you have time, it takes a while for them to make your food. If you're in a rush, you may want to settle for another place.

  3. My girlfriend introduced me to this place back in 2010. I have to give it praise best lunch special in town. It includes delicious chicken soup or lentil, ur choice of main dish, salad, pita bread and sauce to go with it. I tried everything on the menu mostly after all these years. My favorite thing is chicken soup( good for the soul haha) and chicken kebab. I like they spices they put on it. Staff is friendly just always changing. I never not see the helped wanted sign up.

Anyways, food is tasty and inexpensive. They have that excellent lunch special as well as happy hour. Appetizers are half off and they have all kinds of specialty drinks. Ill keep coming back for more;)

  4. "Yay, I'm a fan!" I really am. My friend introduced me to Corfu Grill for lunch and it was a great experience. I had to remind myself from time to time–by looking out the window–that I wasn't by the sea, thanks to the decor and the nice weather. Waitstaff were really nice and accommodating.

We ordered the lunch specials: Chicken Kebab and Fried Fish. Each of our orders came with Chicken Soup, Pita and Tzatziki sauce, Greek Salad, and Lemon Potatoes. The chicken soup was delicious, but sort of oily on the surface. Pita was crisp and complemented the Tzatziki sauce. Greek Salad was refreshing alongside the proteins in the dishes. Lemon potatoes were a bit too sour.

In conclusion, our mealS in its entirety were very filling and very well worth the $18+tip. If you're looking for authentic Greek food, Corfu Grill is as good as it gets!

  5. My husband and I decided to check out this Greek place in Forest Hills to see if it held a candle to our favorite place down the street. The food was good, but unfortunately our favorite place won out. The prices are about the same too, so next time we want Greek we're going back to our tried and true. Sorry Corfu.
That being said, the food was pretty good

  6. The food was fine here. I enjoyed my chicken souflaki.  The service was good here. They had really good drink deals at 5p on weekdays.

  7. Corfu Grill is a small spot so you want to come during the off peak hours to ensure you get a table quickly. They have some great lunch specials and you get a generous amount of food for the price. Lunch specials include a salad as well as a soup and entree and a side. They recently also had a deal on Groupon too.

I did read some of the other reviews but I had already purchased a groupon by then so I braved to check the place out anyway. I didn't see the owner everyone keeps mentioning but I did encounter two waiters and they were both equally nice. They checked on us frequently and at an intimate place like this you can always be sure you will receive personalized service. The other server was almost too efficient with the water refills. He came by literally every five minutes. I never once ran out of water but subsequent refills were a little warm due to lack of ice.

The food was delicious. Our table ordered as follows. For soups we tried both the lentil and the chicken. The soup was pretty salty, particularly the chicken but I have no problem with that. The lentil was a little grainy. I was pulling our stems of spices out of my mouth. The broth could be strained a little better in the preparation process but the overall taste was just fine.

For entrees we had Greek sausage with rice and Greek salad, chicken kebab with fries and marouli salad, and another chicken kebab with an additional side of fried chicken. They offer additional items for $4 a piece if you want to select more items from the specials.

The fried chicken was breaded with bread crumbs so to me it kind of looked more in the style of baked chicken but it was indeed fried and the breading was well seasoned and crisp. The chicken kebabs were also well seasoned and grilled well with a nice char on the edges. The marouli salad was delicious, particularly the goat cheese they used but there was a little too much dill on it. The dill would be best served as a garnish rather than a topping. The Greek salad was on point, they even pitted the olives for you and some places don't bother to do that. The fries were definitely home made. You can tell real home made fries from frozen ones because home made fries usually have a very subtle sweetness to them and they are moister than pre-packaged frozen ones because they are fresh. They weren't too crisp but they did taste good. The sausage is made out of pork if anyone is curious and you get two pieces and they are sliced down the middle before they are grilled.

We ordered some baklava and the piece was a bit on the small side. It was shaped triangularly and slathered in syrup which is completely unnecessary. If you have a nice good fresh piece of baklava you don't need any other toppings. They were also out of ice cream and only had one other dessert available besides the baklava so I feel the restaurant can vastly improve in the dessert department. Until then when I return I'll just skip dessert.

Overall the meal was good and I had a pleasant experience dining here. I will definitely return to order the chicken kebabs again and may be try a few more items on the menu.

  8. Delivery review.

3.5 stars but rounded up for the fast delivery

I ordered their hummus and pita dish and the chicken kebab on a stick with pita. The hummus isn't anything to really write about (still on a quest to find good hummus…). The chicken kebab was tender and juicy and I used the pita and hummus to make myself a little sandwich. While the food is just average, their delivery time is one of the fastest around here that I've experienced (20 minutes as opposed the usual 45 minutes).
