  1. Cutting to the chase. 5 stars for food. You cannot get a better bar burger for the money in New York. The service at this branch is dismal though, worse than the original. They must mistreat their servers, it has never ever been the same person in my 6 visits. I can tolerate the bad service but it's definitely something I dread when walking in here. Food takes a really long time to arrive. It's a 4 overall and that's generous for how bad the service is. Goes to show how much I love this damn burger. Beer selection is nice for a place like this, and they often have specials on pitchers or certain taps – do ask.

  2. I love this place for a good burger. I don't think the prices are completely fair but the food has yet to disappoint me. I am pretty picky s out the burgers j eat and this one is a solid one. My bf likes the chicken sandwich and we love the coleslaw! Anytime we are in the mood for a good burger we end up here.

  3. I have to say this burger was much better than the one I had at the other location.
The beer selection is a little weak for my taste, but the burger was very good.

  4. Corner Bistro is a decent little restaurant with a full bar. It's got it's pros and cons, and lands as a 3.5 for me, but due to markedly poor service, I have to round down. On the plus side, they make a great burger, cooked perfectly to order. The wings are great, and the beer selection is more than satisfying. Also, even on a Saturday night, it's possible to have a conversation with your party because it doesn't get obnoxiously loud. The dim lighting and relaxing pub-like vibe add points.

On the negative side, the burger is thrown together haphazardly as if there's a sleepy toddler working the grill, does not include any fries (effectively making it more than double the price of a Shake Shack burger and take my word that this is not on the level of a Shake Shack burger, and let's not forget that Shake Shack IS fast food) and our server was sufferring from the dreaded Hot Girl Waitress syndrome where you can be as dysfunctional at your job as possible (It was laughably inattentive and absent minded service) and think you're doing a fantastic job because magically, the tips are still coming in. On a Saturday night, there should have been some more oversight on the part of management.

Good if you're nearby and want a burger or wings, but otherwise, there's nothing here worth going out of your way for.

  5. I remember when we saw the signs with the "Coming soon" words, i was happier than a child in a candy store! With numerous accolades to its name as one of the best burgers in NYC, i gotta admit my meal here has never disappointed me not one bit!

A nice sports bar as well, as ive watched many a Monday night football game here with my roomates scarfing away our burgers while taking advantage of the game day beer specials they offer.

They have a great selection of beers on tap but of course the real storry here is their burger ! Packed full of flavors, spices & jucyness, skip the menu dont look back. Order the corner bistro burger with a side of sweet potato fries. It will have you leaving totally satisfied & looking forward to your next visit!

and OMG their sweet potato fries! Its like candy in your mouth as each fry has a nice crunch to go along with a sugary sweetness to each bite! a MUST ORDER every time!

  6. Decided to give them another chance, aaaaan this will be my last.

Burger was simple, not cooked as order, frech fries had ZERO salt. Expensive as well
Honestly, how is this place still open?

  7. There is no place more deserving of 5 stars in LIC (for what it is) than this place. This is not a fancy Italian trattoria. This is not a sheik Asian-fusion restaurant. This is a neighborhood dive bar burger joint, and it does that in the most visceral way.
When I walked into this place I half-expected the cheers theme music to come on. That's exactly what this place was. Just a solid neighborhood joint. The service could not have been any friendlier, and I was treated like a local who's been coming here for years (I haven't).
As somewhat of a burger connoisseur, I can honestly say that this was one of the best burgers I've ever had. It was so brutally simple and just exuded everything a classic burger should be. Medium rare ground beef blend, raw onion, melted cheese galore, a fresh tomato, crispy bacon, lettuce, and a simple toasted sesame bun. Throw a little ketchup on this bad boy and wow, just a superior and almost historic burger experience. In a day where some places are trying to make the burger into some sort of gourmet fare, this place just does it right. The cole slaw was out of this world as well.
Plain and simple, this place is not for the douchy or the socialites. This place is for the simpletons out there like myself who enjoy a casual atmosphere, friendly service, and quality grub without any twists or frills. Will be coming back here regularly for cold beers and the best burger in LIC.

  8. A solid, no frills place to get a very decent burger. I've gotten both the regular hamburger and the chili burger, and thoroughly enjoyed each one. The burgers are nicely sized (8 oz.) and always cooked to order (at least they have a knack for medium rare). The chili burger can get, well, a bit messy – but if you're ordering a chili burger, you're typically expecting to use a napkin or two as a price for the burger-chili goodness. If you're looking for a low-key spot to a beer and very satisfying burger, with a courteous waitstaff, this is your place.
