  1. I was able to try these guys out at Royal Palms in Gowanus. Service was quick (and the guy spoke to me in Spanish so I guess my accent is just very believable). Food was cheap (somehow cheaper than what was listed on their truck). Basically everything on the menu is the same price (the truck says $7). And portions were basically gigantic.

I had the huarache enchilada (spicy pork) and it was actually amazingly spicy. Had to drown my spicy sorrows with two beers. But it was very good. Great deal at any price.

  2. So my boyfriend's idea of the best way to spend my birthday is to take me to a bunch of food trucks and stuff me full of tacos – this is because he knows exactly, I mean exactly, what makes me happy. We went with 4 tacos: beef, spicy pork, chorizo, and cecina. All were excellent. After seeing how HUGE the huaraches were, we had to say no, but if you've got a huge appetite, that could be the choice for you. Long lines on a beautiful day don't bother me at all. Get yourself down to Red Hook & try these guys out!

  3. These guys are great.  I stopped into gowanus grove today for some dance music, and these guys offer tacos under a tent in the back.  Damn good ones too.  I had beans & lettuce, with a touch of cheese, avocado & then the hot sauce.   One taco was enough… meanwhile the girl next to me had this monster huge Huaraches.  Holy cow!
