I didn't have a chance to try this shop's coffee; however, I did take a couple of pastries to go. Both of the pastries were superb. I had a Lemon Poppy seed doughnut and an almond almond croissant. They also carried muffins, danishes, and macarons in addition to doughnuts and croissants.
The staff was super friendly even though we stopped in just before closing.
The shop is small, but I'd certainly return for hot drinks and pastries.
When in Brooklyn, prices should be cheaper. Cafe au lait small was $2.50 and latte was $4. Around a quarter cheaper than what you would expect to see in Manhattan coffee shops. Don't be fooled by the 2015 menu in the pictures, because those prices are no longer accurate. (I wish I came here when the cafe au lait was still 1.84!)
This cafe is tiny, with 4/5 small wooden tables for you to do work if you so choose. It carries popular favorites such as dough donuts, melt's ice-cream sandwiches, and stumptown coffee. Everything here is solid, but it'd be nice if it was a taaadd bit cheaper – which is why I took away a star. They also have a stamp card which lessens the blow of their increased menu prices. 0:)
Probably the best coffee in Bay Ridge, helped slightly by the homey atmosphere. The barista started a genuine conversation with me and my husband, he was so pleasant. The space is clean, wifi good, and enough seating that it doesn't get too crowded. They also offer donuts from Dough. They have iced decaf coffee, which is so hard to find!
I showed up on a random Friday afternoon after reading some great reviews on the place. It was very cozy inside with a couple of seats and tables.
There weren't many people inside when I walked in. I ordered a peppermint latte with a very sweet lady. Took a seat and started studying for about two hours. In that time, so many people came in and I noticed how accommodating and genuinely kind the barista/cashier girl was!
It was just really heartwarming to be there. She was so nice to everyone. Christmas lights. Christmas music. I think it just made me really happy to be in there. It was a great experience 🙂 I look forward to coming back!
We didn't try any of the coffees but the treats were delicious! We ordered the mocha almond doughnut and the big deb.
The mocha almond doughnut was the size of my head. The coffee flavor was subtle, but present. The crushed almonds gave it a nice textural contrast to the otherwise soft and fluffy doughnut. The big deb was basically an elevated ice cream sandwich – vanilla ice cream in between two oatmeal cookies. The cookies were chewy and tasted fresh, with a hint of cinnamon. The ice cream was super creamy and had a good consistency.
Side note: they don't take Amex!
They're really nice here. Every time I've stopped in, they're patient, kind, and just all around friendly. Come to Cream for a pick me up- whether it's their huge, creatively flavored donuts or macaroons, numerous coffee and tea based drinks (people seem to like their Nutella latte or the salted caramel latte), or the great service. A trip here will make your day a bit brighter.
I was in the neighborhood and stumbled upon Cream Coffee Shop. The tinted windows made it quite hard to see if the shop was open or not.
Nutella Latte $4.50 (small) – Asked for something sweet and they suggested the salted caramel latte or nutella latte. I went with the cold nutella latte and it satisfied my sweet craving. Thanks for the suggestion!
Staff here is extremely friendly and have have passion for what they do. They'll explain the menu in detail and allow you to customize your order to make it fit your taste buds.
There's free WiFi and a small cozy area to sit. Noise is minimal and seats were filled up on a Sunday afternoon.
THIS REVIEW IS SOLELY BASED ON EATING A DONUT FROM HERE THAT Kaleidoscope store gave for free today because of Nat'l Donut day.
I ate a mocha and mocha almond and chocolate. The donuts were super fresh and delicious. Now I want to actually go to the cafe. Yum.
I'll be visiting this place soon and I'll write another review based on that experience.
