  1. Dessert: Banana nutella crepe with strawberries… SOOO DELISHHH. The crepe was cooked well, as in, it wasn't too dough-y. It also wasn't drenched in nutella so it brought out the fruits' flavors!

Service: Great! She was friendly and attentive but didn't bother us too much. Glasses were always full.

Ambiance: This place is way bigger than it looks in the entrance! There's more seating past the kitchen area and there's also outside seating in the back of the restaurant. Pretty lights on the outside give it a romantic/intimate setting.

No question about it – I would definitely return for their delicious dessert crepes 🙂

  2. 3.5 stars. Extra half star because of the excellent, friendly service. Honestly-not super impressed with the crepe. I'm afraid though that I probably ordered the wrong one. I got the Black Forest Ham: ham, mushrooms, and cheese. The main problem is that although the individual parts of the crepe were fine, I felt like none of the ingredients came together. There was a lot of ham but it didn't seem to mesh well with the mushrooms or the cheese or the crepe cover. My friend ordered the strawberry and chocolate crepe, which looked a lot better.

The inside is very cute and it's ideal for small groups. I just wish that I had actually enjoyed the crepe! Would maybe come back with someone else who wants to go but otherwise sadly don't think I see this place being a part of my immediate future.

  3. A decent crepe place in the Financial District.

My coworker and I had been meaning to come here and since I'm headed to Midtown East soon, we decided to come for lunch. The entrance leaves you by what appears to be a to-go counter, however, it's where all the food is produced, including the food for the people dining-in.

The staff is friendly but a bit rushed. The space is long and narrow so it can feel a bit cramped. My coworker and I both ordered the savory crepe with salmon and eggs. The crepe itself is just okay, a bit too heavy for my taste. The eggs were good and the salmon was a nice touch. The dressing on the side salad was delicious. Overall, a decent crepe place but could be a bit better.

  4. I work right around the corner from Crêpes du Nord and it's such a shame I don't get in there more – I'm always pleasantly surprised. It's a small place so I certainty wouldn't recommend it for a large group or going at a very busy time. It's a railroad style restaurant with little room to spare between tables.

My two favorites are probably the Prosciutto di Parma and the Chicken and Asparagus crêpe. The prosciutto one is filled with ricotta cheese – can't go wrong with that. They come out hot, fresh and are quite filling. Most come with a little side of greens. Last time I went was the first time I tried a dessert crêpe there. We got the lingonberry and cream one (this is a Scandinavian influenced place, by the way). It didn't disappoint either. This is a great little spot if you have a crêpe craving or want to have a nice lunch on Stone Street.

  5. I picked up at a Vegetarian Crepe to-go.
Waited no more than 10 minutes.
The crepe was whole wheat! I really liked the red roasted peppers inside the crepe. It gave it a pop of flavor!

The crepe station is towards what I think is the back of the restaurant, but you can see the chef making your crepe. This restaurant is rail road style and it has a lot of high chairs seating.

I think i need to try more crepes to better assess this place. The fillings of the crepe can vary your experience.

  6. Waiters were inattentive initially, took someone 10 mins to take the drinks order and more time to take the food order. It took ages for the food to come. And then, the benedict crepe had hardly any cheese in it, so the crepe tasted awful. The waiter offered some cheese on the side, which was obviously a disastrous suggestion since it could not have replaced the molten cheese inside the crepe. Finally they replaced the entire crepe, but I noticed that this time there was not as much ham as the first one. However, I was vexed by then and went on eating the crepe. Finally, the bill had a component called ham and an extra $3 for it, I do not know why. I asked it to be removed. There were overall too many falterings to make the meal memorable for the right reasons.

  7. They have creative and delicious crepes with a long and varied selection of crafted crepes creations. The atmosphere is very pleasant and it's nestled between a couple old looking pubs in the financial district. It's a bit on the dark side but still pleasant. The servers were knowledgeable, nice and attentive. I would recommend this place to visitors and locals alike.

  8. Really good spot for a crepe, if you're in the mood for a savory (or sweet) snack. This place is somewhat tough to find, but it's worth the search!

I had the crepe du nord (salmon and egg) with dill cream and some greens on the side, pretty much an upscale version of the lox bagel. The salmon is ridiculously good along with the soft, fluffy crepe and lightly seasoned scrambled egg – though I do agree with Lou K. that it could use some more acidity, but no complaints otherwise.

Will be back eventually for a dessert crepe!
