I had very high hopes and expectations trying this place last Sunday, but those were left wishing. I was underwhelmed, and found the offerings to be good, but not great. I ordered a double burger with pastrami. I asked for sauteed onions on my burger, and was given such a scant amount, I could barely discern their presence. The buirger was requested medium, but it came out more on the well-done side, and it was seasoned with a mix of parsley and some other spices that gave the burger a more Middle Eastern flavor. The pastrami could have been crispy, instead of just slightly warm, and the roll on a 16 dollar burger could have been much better than the soft, limp packaged bun they used. A little toasting on the bun would have been welcome and would have enhanced the sandwich. The guys behind the counter had a nice personality, and were fine to deal with. The burger just didn't merit the pricetag so much, unfortunately, in my opinion. The service and the atmosphere merit three stars, although the atmosphere's merits could be exaggerated in my mind due to the table of attractive blondes next to me devouring steak sandwiches (the only thing better than a young woman in short shorts is a young woman in short shorts eating a rib eye hero).
I've ordered Crisp a few times. It's that Stockholm that makes me return :P.
As a fast food restaurant their prices are a little steep for the sub par items they are dishing out.
I've ordered burgers, sandwiches and salads. I have yet to bite into something and say ahh, this is delicious. The steak salad I ordered, well, the steak was chewy and cheap. There was more fat than steak on there. The veggies were fresh. The burger buns, by the time they were delivered were soggy and inedible. The burgers lacked flavor and are usually over cooked.
The actual restaurant is nice and the employees are OK but all that aside they better up their game with The Canteen having opened a block away setting the standard for fast food in that area to a higher degree.
