  1. I only go for the UNLIMITED TOPPPINGS salad which is a good deal.

  2. Visit Date: September 21, 2014

Came here with my godmother before we saw Cinderella. They have all sorts of choices, pretty much anything you can think of to eat could be found here. In the center there's a hot food buffet bar, and a regular salad bar. Surrounding the hot food buffet and salad bar in a perimeter are salads, deli meats, sandwiches, Mexican food and a few other choices.

We both ate from the hot food buffet which was a mix from decent to good. The mac n cheese was a little disappointing, the mashed potatoes were great, my godmother loved the fish, I hated the sweet potato, the penne was good, the fries were good too.

When we went upstairs to sit in the seating area we were dying because it was so hot. We really wanted to sit inside of some AC too because we were sweating from walking in the city so much.

Seemed like a decent deli, not sure I'd jump to eat there again, the buffet was kind of expensive ($8.99) a pound for food that wasn't really worth that price.

  3. They don't carry many things for a deli.
They do have a hot buffet and some sandwiches and salad but barely touched by anyone.  There are many choices around the area that I don't think many people would settle for them.

I wanted a cup of noodle and they didn't even carry that Not much selections at all.
I got some mediocre spicy salmon sushi roll but paid restaurant prices 9 dollars. Totally not worth it..

And when I wasn't feeling too well, I wanted a Naked Juice Green Machine to boost my immune system.  I brought it to the counter and was charged $5.50…  I Gasped and they laughed at me. They knew that their prices were expensive and I was too much of a prideful sucker to put the drink back down.. so I paid … Oh boy did I pay.

A few days later I went into Duane Reade across the street, 2 Naked Juice for 6 Dollars.  Whomp Whomp.  This is the closest Deli by my work place btw!

  4. The Udon/Soba noodle bar is cheap, fast and delicious! ~$7 for a giant, healthy bowl of soup- custom made to your liking (extra scallions, please!)

  5. Ugh. I gave them mad stars and mad props for their consistency, but they were TOTALLY off last week! Chicken was overcooked, pork was undercooked, chow mein was salty…just all off. I'm taking two stars back!

  6. Okay so when you google "bagels" in Midtown, it claims that there is a place called New York Bagel Company in this location.  That is lame.  My friend and I wanted bagels on a hungover Sunday morning and decided to check that option out.  This was a failure!  Although we decided to stay and to just order bagel sandwiches from this random establishment even though it was not at all a bagel shop.  The sandwiches were good and I didn't regret that decision.  My friend got a smoothie and something in the blender caused it to turn to pure foam so he barely got smoothie in his cup. There is upstairs seating which is useful and we enjoyed our sandwiches and nursed our hangovers there for a while.

  7. The cashier tried to overcharge me again. Co-worker also blames this place for food poisoning. All the hot foods at dinner are the leftovers from lunch with added airborne…

  8. Crown Deli is a nicer than average deli for Midtown, with a small steam table, salad bar, sandwich bar, soups, and snack foods. They have a large cold case of drinks. There is also seating upstairs (is that where the sushi is?) but I was rushing back for a meeting and didn't check it out. The place is clean and well lit, with okay service.

I got the turkey, mozz, avocado sandwich, which comes with a small soup and runs you $8.17 including tax. Not bad, for a substantial, fresh, midtown lunch. Then I bit into the sandwich, which was barely toasted, and realized how little turkey was actually in the sandwich. While the quality of the bread, cheese, avocado, and lettuce will be enough for me to be okay with the sandwich, I know others would be downright angry at how little meat is in the sandwich. Oh well.

The steam table looked better than average, with two whole shanks of roasted pork, red skinned roasted potatos, sliders, fruit, and veggies.
