I was delighted to see the cupcake truck in front of me on my way to work and couldn't resist running over! I bought the 5 mini cupcake tray and sampled each one – one word: AMAZING. They were moist and delicious and the icing was unbelievable. Rated in order from fave to least fave (though all are so good): 1) Red Velvet 2) Vanilla w/ Rainbow Sprinkles 3) Oreo 4) Chocolate w/Vanilla Icing 5) Vanilla Choc. Chip I am more of a vanilla fan than a chocolate fan… If you see this truck, don't miss it …well worth the extra time at the gym 🙂 One suggestion: Get iced coffee in the truck for these hot days…yummmm
$3 a cupcake is a little steep, and that's my main negative. Their Funfetti is definitely my favorite flavor. Sad to see them closing after they were the first cupcake truck in the city.
The frosting is (was) amazing, and the cupcake itself is ok.

Oh yeah! After getting off the train my eyes were wide open when they came upon the Cupcake Stop Truck. It didn't matter that we just had breakfast and were nowhere near hungry. When you see one of NY's best cupcakes dealers, you open up your pie hole and fill it!
We immediately said give us the Mexican Chocolate cupcake with it's deep rich cake batter and spicy chocolate frosting dusted with cayenne pepper. So freakin good from first to last bite. If only I could get these all the time. Enjoy!
Three stars but I will give an extra star because it made it over to the West Coast relatively unscathed. While I have been working, my in laws went to New York for some shopping and R n R. Upon their arrival back I was given three cupcakes.. other than the frosting being squashed they were intact.
The vanillas were okay… (the funfetti was cute).. The oreo frosting was decent..
My favorite was the chocolate with peanut butter frosting.
I sure enjoy getting delicious cupcakes off a mobile truck. There's something about NYC cupcakes: the frosting is so perfectly whipped and creamy and the cake is always moist.
Cupcake Stop was in my neighborhood; cupcakes = $3 each. I ordered four: 1 "Elvis" (peanut butter and banana), 1 Red Velvet, and 2 Funfetti.
Elvis = so foamy creamy with the frosting and bursting with flavor. Probably my favorite!!
Red Velvet = delicious cream cheese frosting. The cake was decent; still had the moistness.
Funfetti = well, I ate this one a few days later. Frosting was still moist but cake had gone crispy :/ I got this flavor for my niece.
Just writing this review makes my mouth water…I want to go searching for Cupcake Stop again!
