  1. Second time I've been here and it still doesn't disappoint.  The two girls behind the counter were cleaning out the cases when we came in but were still very sweet and courteous. They offered to answer any questions we had about the cup cakes. naturally I picked my favorite, red velvet. It was outstanding! Fresh and moist cake with a traditional red velvet icing. Also got a salted caramel and a cookies and cream. Those were delicious too. I'm glad I refused dessert after dinner to make room for this.

  2. This place was ok. They are known for their blue velvet cupcakes. The icing was a bit sweet for me but the cake itself was pretty good. It seemed like the cupcakes came frozen so when we requested certain ones we were quoted a defrost time— I do t like to wait on my cupcake to defrost. The staff was awesome! Very cool group of young ladies and very efficient.

  3. Popped in here right before closing and was pleasantly surprised that they were offering the remaining cupcakes at $2 instead of the regular $2.95. I got the snickers cupcake, which was loaded with chocolate frosting. The frosting was a thick consistency, almost like the frosting you get in tubs at the supermarket. The cake was good but nothing special. However, I really liked how there was a huge variety of cupcakes, which appeals to a lot of people.

  4. This is one of my go-to places to take people from out of town. What can go wrong with a good, unique cupcake? My favorite is the cookie dough cupcake with the chunks of cookie dough on top. For some reason I also love banana desserts so the Curious George was another obvious choice for me. Never been disappointed with the red velvet either!

  5. I'm on the search for the best cupcakes… Salted Carmel topping was delicious. The cupcake itself taste like boxed chocolate cake. The lemon topping was good but not lemony enough. The cake was ok but nothing special. I did inquire about the temperate of the cupcakes & was surprised to learn they are frozen and thawed out on site. I wasn't happy to hear this but the cake & topping was good despite this. I wouldn't go back. If you are a try cupcake fan, try GiGi's cupcakes in Maplewood. They bake on premises & all the tastes are unique & flavorful.

  6. Stopped by this place to pick up a couple of treats for a friend's birthday. I wasn't really looking for anything in particular, I just wanted to add to the gift that I already had. Having briefly scanned their inventory, mostly just cupcakes and brownies, I had spotted UPCAKES or PUSHPOP cupcakes, so I had grabbed a couple. I had seen them on Pinterest before, but never really had the urge to try them, after all, the trend of cupcakes have been long gone. Since they were my friend, I didn't get a chance to try it, nor had the chance to follow up on how they were. So I came back a second time to see if they had any that I could try. At the time I had gone, they had CURIOUS GEORGE flavored upcakes. The cake part of the cocoction was very moist, the banana custard was great, the peanut butter flavor was at the beginning and the end, and topped with chocolate frosting. Overall I thought the flavor lived up to the name, but I found the chocolate icing a little too sweet for taste.

I will definitely be stopping by again to try more items. I quickly spotted a hostess style "Snowball" cupcake before i left and can't wait to try it for next time !

  7. I live a very short walk from this cupcake-ry and I do my best not to even walk by this place because I'm afraid of being tempted by their delicious cupcakes.  Numerous flavors to choose from.  The girls behind the counter were always really helpful when I was trying to decide what flavors to get for friends birthdays as these are often a go-to mini bday gift. Another thing which I have yet to try because I always get persuaded by the big cupcakes are the mini's.  Little bite sized cakes in some of their more classic flavors including the blue velvet (?).

I just wish the store hours were open a little bit later, even if it was just for weekends.  Many times when friends have come over for dinner they would ask me about going here for dessert, but it would already be closed by the time we finished.

  8. I give it three stars. I had the Napoleon cupcake and though it had some good flavor, the cupcake was too dry and stiff. They keep em cold…not a fan. I like cupcakes that are room temp or even warm is fine, but def not super cold.  Makes it taste less fresh.  Hmm well maybe they don't bake them in store perhaps???  Coffee was decent. I've had better over all cupcakes and coffee.
