  1. I had the Cookie Monster ice cream. I still am unsure the flavor of the blue. I'm still not sure what kind of cookies this blue ice cream was filled with but damn it was good and I should have brought a pint home. Cookie, until we meet again.

  2. Delicious ice cream. Great selection of home made ice creams. I ordered an ice cream soda thinking it meant ice cream and soda but an ice cream soda is seltzer with flavor…Its one of those things that get lost in translation. Anyway, the young girl lady was nice enough to add ice cream without questions. We enjoyed our ice cream on one of the many of the seating areas outside.

Prices are reasonable, and a good value for the quality. If I lived closer I would be here all the time, and I can see why there are long lines especially in warmer weather. The ice cream is good, and the servers are fast and very friendly.

  3. My girlfriend grew up in the Riverdale area and has been coming to Curly's her whole life. She introduced me to the small ice cream shop a few years ago and we have been coming back whenever we are in the area. There is a wide range of hard ice cream options such as chocolate peanut butter (which has a good ratio of PB to chocolate ice cream), moose tracks, and graham slam.

There is usually a line to the walk up window in the parking lot but it moves fast. The service has always been very efficient. One time, last year they forgot to add hot fudge. They were very helpful and quick to add it to my sundae with no problem.

  4. Yummmm… very reasonable price, generous portions, and great flavors!  My favorites ate cookie monster,  banana oreo, and chocolate raspberry truffle!

  5. My family loves to come and here and celebrate and relax!

    After a sports game win-check!
After a long trip to the mall-check!
    After a tired hike- check!

This is the local place to go and get cooled off with ice-cream! I wasn't sure if it was open year round- but it was today!

  6. Solid ice cream place with long lines most of nights so be prepared for a wait. Parking is a little tricky too on busy nights. Many hard ice cream flavors to chose from. I'm a fan of the banana Oreo and their chocolate milk shakes. Tried a sample of the key lime pie recently which I did not like. Prices are a little higher than some of the other homemade ice cream places in the area.

  7. This is my go-to ice cream place in the summer. The ice cream is amazing, especially the soft serve. They also have a giant selection of toppings and can make so many kinds of ice cream based treats. Don't let the long line scare you,  the employees are all very sweet and the line moves quickly!

  8. Hands down, thee best ice cream spot in the area!

Curly's is an old school ice cream walk up that's been around forever (since 1958), because they know what their doing.

What sets Curly's apart from other ice cream shops in the area, is the fact that they make their own ice cream.  Their ice cream is always super fresh and creamy. Plus, thier flavors are pretty awesome. Vanilla Nutella, Coconut Cream, and Canoli are always a solid choice, but thier seasonal flavors are dope; the Pumpkin spice is very good and that Eggnog Chip is Ah-mazing!

They also have frozen yogurt, which tastes just like ice cream.

The place is always busy, which of course is a good sign.  Even on a cold winter day, they still have a steady flow of customers, but during the summer the line can get crazy, like a theme park line crazy… But don't let the line intimidate you, the staff do a great job of moving the line quickly.

Unfortunately, they close during the slow season for a little over a month; from December 24 to the first weekend in February.

I love me some Curly's Ice Cream!
