Friendly staff. Great savory crepes and ice lattes! The latte is strong with rich espresso aroma. They also have simple syrup at the sugar station so I can easily add some sweetness to my drink and head out. It's right by one of the 7 Ave subway station exits.
Note: $5 credit card minimum! Their small ice latte is $5.
This place is great! I had cravings for something sweet after 8 pm and everything closes at 8 around this area but this place was open and made me very happy. I ordered a nutella strawberry banana crepe and was fantastic.
Holy crap. My S/O and I walked into this place randomly because he knew I liked coffee but instead we opted for a savory crepe. We got the #10 however I was skeptical because it was $10. It had ricotta, provolone, mushroom and prosciutto. Maybe it was because I was hungry but I wanted to devour the whole thing because it was so delicious. Everything was great. The staff was very friendly too and didn't rush us when we were deciding on what to get. I would go back. Probably will.
A little hole in the wall, Cusp, Crepe and Espresso Bar is a great place for a cup of coffee, a pastry, or a crepe.
Crepes is what drew me in. At first glance there are savory and sweet crepes. I usually order sweet crepes, so I decided to try something different. Savory.
I had the Prosciutto and Asparagus Crepe with a balsamic reduction. It was pretty good. It can be hard to find a place that's good at creating sweet and savory crepes, but this place does a good job. Next time I'm probably try a sweet crepe. Plus the storefront is so cute.
Kinda surprised by all the really good reviews for this place…..First, online it says they open at 8AM. My husband and I got there at 8:25AM and it was still not open. After waiting a few minutes outside we knocked on the door and they said they needed a few more minutes. They opened around 8:45AM. So that started them off on the wrong foot. Then we had to wait an extra 10 minutes for them to get ready to heat everything up to make food, so I ordered an almond milk latte in the meantime. This was the most sickly sweet latte I have ever had. I did not ask for any sweeter so I have no idea what made it this way. Maybe they used vanilla almond milk? Not sure. We finally ordered our crepes which were just ok. My husband got the asparagus, mozzarella, tomato, and balsamic and I got the Ricotta, honey, and jam. It did not have jam in it but at this point I just wanted this breakfast experience to be over so I didn't say anything. The crepes were just ok. I probably wouldn't go back here for crepes or coffee.
I used to come here when it was Crespella, and have to say that Cusp is a great little spot in the neighborhood for coffee, a crepe and a window seat. The staff are always super friendly and cheery – and always get your order just right! I order the maple latte and it's sweet without being overly so, with strong espresso to per you right up. I highly recommend Cusp if you're in the neighborhood and want a carefully crafted beverage that'll start your day off right.
I came here for breakfast with a friend. This is a super small shop with only around 5-6 window seats total. Very cute and more of a to go vibe.
I ordered a cappuccino which was delicious. Perfect, they come in 2 sizes. The crepes were huge and stuffed with so much! They look like the perfect size but are definitely more than you can handle. The crepe was literally perfect and we watched the guy make them, it actually took some time but you could totally tell he was making them with love. Very heavy, you could probably split a crepe with 2 people. I got strawberries and bananas in my Nutella crepe.
Like the seating options the crepe choices are limited. For sweet options, you get to choose from nutella or quirky super sweet. It's serve on a plate and not some paper nonsense. We got the cannoli crepe. Bad choice. It tasted like a marshmallow and just had a cannoli on top of it and crumbled inside of it. Didn't really know what I expected. But really didn't expect it to be hard as a rock after a few minutes. I don't recommend this one. Probably the fruit ones will float your boat, but really need to step it up. Latte was burnt, but probably should have gotten a ice latter anyway. Overall, good price but definitely not the best crepes in New York or even close to 5 stars in terms of crepes (crepe quality I'd give a 3.5, but options for the sweet crepes need to be better). Staff is nice and accommodating. So good for locals or a quick dessert after eating somewhere close by, but nothing to go out of your way for.
