  1. This place is my ride or die. I love it so much and it is not only friendly but affordable. The space is also super cozy and food is delicious. Get one of their great sandwiches or a bagel with hummus!

  2. Awesome spot, I LOOOOVE their sandwiches, their turkey pesto avacado sandwich is amazing. The portion is gi-normous and the price is low, put that combination together and you get an instant hit. Also their staff is super friendly and make this place feel like home. Definitely give this place a try.

  3. This was the first spot we visited while trying to find apartments in the area and HOLY SHIT this place should be the Ambassador of Ridgewood/Bushwick (Bushwood?) and parades should absolutely be thrown. The combination of damn good coffee (and HOT) and incredibly lovely, friendly staff pretty much makes me want to move in here but I don't think A. there's room and B. not sure if that's cool with the owner. So the next best thing is to show up often and see if he'll adopt me? Also their granola is the shit and just stop for a minute to think about how serious that is because  when has anyone ever told you GRANOLA WAS THE SHIT. You're welcome.

  4. Cypress Inn Cafe is super rad. The walls and shelves are adorned with old school pictures of the owner's mother and horror flick swag. It's a bit of a hike from the train, but definitely worth it!

Sit back and enjoy your coffee with delicious desserts (the chocolate bread is awesome) or savory empanadas (go for the Mac & Cheese). They've also got sandwiches and tons of vegetarian friendly options. Last time we went on the weekend, we were also given free mimosas! Can't get better than that.

They also screen movies during the week, check out their Facebook page for upcoming flicks. All-in-all, a great and quiet place to spend your afternoon. Tons of seating, so catch up with a friend or read a book in solitude.

  5. Super cool spot in Ridgewood with great iced coffee and solid pastries. If I had more time I'd hang out here often. The day I was in, the barista was very nice. The ambience at this place is really cool also, feels like you could spend some time here relaxing and sipping your caffeine. They were playing 60's soul music the morning I visited. If you're in the area it worth checking out for sure.
