The woman who works the counter was a B-I-T unfriendly. Seriously.
We bought two bottles of wine for New Year's, and she asked if we wanted one bag or two. My friend says if she can fit two in the same one, that's fine. Innocuous enough, yes? Instead of answering, she gets annoyed and asks us again if we wanted one bag or two because apparently, we were not straight enough with our answer. We say one is fine.
There was also a sign that said they don't accept AmEx. My buddy is from the neighborhood and had previously used AmEx there and asked in a friendly manner what changed. The woman went into an entire spiel about how much they charged per transaction, how it didn't help their business, and was generally very condescending to us. At one point, she asked in a very derisive tone, "do you understand how credit card machines work?"

Decent wine selection was the only saving grace.
