the food – out of 5 stars i'll give it a 4 and 1/2. i had a barley soup which was kind of bland (needed some salt) but the textures were very good so i'll give it to them. as for my entree, i ordered the vitello martini AKA veal in a white wine & lemon sauce which was very very very delicious. i think that white wine sauce made the veal taste even more delicate than it already is. absolutely yummmmyyy
ambience – the first thing that came to mind was really romantic. i am now thoroughly convinced that the way into a girl's heart is by taking her to a candle lit cozy italian restaurant. da noi gives off a very very intimate vibe which sparks good conversation
this place gets a definite thumbs up!
Last month, my brother-in-law suggested the family to eat lunch at Da Noi. With no knowledge of Staten Island besides the Ferry and Pho Mac, we obliged. When we arrived, we parked in the back and walked up a steep flight of stairs. I felt this was the entrance for deliveries only.
We sat down and got to work. Appetizers such as prosciutto and bruschetta were welcomed into my stomach. While we ordered a bunch of Italian pasta dishes, I ordered meat tortelini. It was disappointing. Service was friendly and speedy (we were two or three parties in the entire restaurant – it was a Tuesday afternoon). Desserts, such as tiramisu and creme brulee were a sweet touch. I would go again, but would try a different entree.

I came here to celebrate a close friends birthday and it was about 10 of us and we got a reservation for 8:30 we got to sit down promptly in a nice round table right in the middle. The place was packed and much older couples. They also have valet parking and if not theres a huge whole dead block to park on too.
We started off with a nice bottle of red wine and it was good, kind of strong but I liked it and can't complain! We had some bread with like an olive spread on top and shredded parmesan cheese and it was pretty good, plus a side of oil and pepper too. The waiter was really nice and so was the hostess, they told us our dinner specials. I enjoyed me a nice seafood pasta, some clams, mussels, calamari, and scallops in a nice linguini sauce with a red sauce on top, I enjoyed that it was a big plate too! We also had mussels in red wine sauce which was nice, others got some chicken, shrimp parm, steak and it all looked really good!
I enjoyed this place and would not mind coming back, prices are not that bad they have a nice selection of foods and wines and I liked the workers there too. Food came out pretty quick and was nice and enjoyable, they even offer dessert and coffee.
Nice romantic atmosphere, dim lights, candle light and the wine is flowing!
Consistently good food, especially for Staten Island :-/. I usually order the stuffed artichoke and a pasta dish and am always happy. Their meat dishes are great as well.
I went a few nights ago and had the frutte di mare and the scallops didn't taste very fresh.. thats my only complaint.
Reasonable pricing. Very nice servers, although you can't always understand what they're saying :-/.
If you want a nice Italian dinner, this is def a great option. Da Noi has a very cozy, and welcoming feel. The staff is very nice. On this night we were seated promptly. The place is dimly lit and very romantic.
We went over the specials and decided on, the meat tortellinis with pink sauce as an app. This is one of my favorite dishes here. They are cook al dente and the sauce is perfect.
For dinner we ordered the swordfish special which was grilled and came out perfectly cooked juicy and tender with potatoes and asparagus. I order veal saltimbocca which was delicious. The veal here is always tender and it had spinach which unfortunately I wasn't so happy about. It kind of tasted like boxed spinach.
For dessert we ordered coffee. Overall the place is def a go to and has very good food. You should go check it out.
I've been eating at Da Noi since it opened. It's a really delicious Italian restaurant. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Our favorite waiter is Victor. He is attentive and always remembers our favorite drinks/food. For drinks, we like to order any delicious martini (especially peach). For entrees their black linguine with pesto sauce and seafood is delicious. Finally, for dessert we enjoy their mint chocolate chip martinis. I highly recommend Da Noi!
