  1. This area is flooded with Korean restaurants. It was nice to try out this place once, but I'd rather pay a few more bucks for better portion and quality of food. I'm a bit confused of some reviews that points out that the portion is huge here. Usually, one restaurant serving portion for me equals to two portions. I usually take the leftover half for my lunch the next day. The 4 of us all finished our foods and the portions were definitely smaller compared to other Korean restaurants in the area.

A pleasant surprise that they had the lunch special price on weekends. Yelp shows that I've checked-in to this place 20 days ago, but I don't have much further recollection of it. Overall, it was okay.

  2. This place is very generous with portions!  And it's always a plus when one can find $13 dinner combo around the area.
Ordered 1) spicy pork belly stir fry with Kim chi ji gae as combo 2) grilled mackerel with Jan chi noodles as combo 3) dukk galbi and soy paste soup (dwen jang ji gae) as combo.
End of the day, food was good, portions were generous and price was just right.  Hope this place stays around for awhile.

  3. $10 galbi lunch special?! Nooo freaking way… I couldn't believe it!

Seriously, what a steal. Not only do you get galbi, but you get to pick btwn noodle soup, spicy cold noodles, miso stew or kimchi stew. The other meat options are spicy pork, bulgogi (thin beef slices), or spicy chicken. Keep in mind that these are lunch portions. Don't expect a pile of galbi with zero fat to come out. Food was palatable and yummy. The spicy pork had a nice kick and was a bigger portion than the galbi (obvs).

This just became my favorite lunch spot fosho. Dinner runs around $16 for galbi, but that is still cheaper than all the kbbq spots around here. They also have a variety of other dishes like boodae stew.

Hoping this place is here to stay! Too many restaurants have come & gone in this spot.

  4. Good value on the specials that they have going 7 days a week.

The food quality was nothing to rave about. The cold noodle got a bit of alcohol taste for some reason. My buddy got the same thing and confirmed as well.

But hey… Can't complain given the price point…

  5. Went for Daily Lunch Special

Food – 5/5. You could roughly equate a Bap Jip to a Diner in the American sense and the food here can be described as good Korean diner food. The banchans come in good variety with at least one jeon, the kimchi soup is flavorful, rice has a good bite and the LA Galbi had a tasty marinade. Bonus points for the iced barley tea they serve here!

Service – 4/5. It's a very packed restaurant especially during the peak lunch hours, but they were still friendly and courteous to me who was a single diner despite being very busy. They offer more banchan as well whenever you run out.

Price – 5/5. Their lunch specials are at the highest price $10 and comes with banchan, rice, K-BBQ sizzle platter and a soup. There is absolute value to be had here and if you want a quick K-BBQ fix on a budget, Dae Bak Bap Jip is the place to go.

    Parking – Private Lot (Free)
