Good pizza, my go-to pizza spot. Their sauce is a bit sweeter than other pizzas I've had. Also love their pesto slice. I usually get a slice here whenever i'm in the area.
I have to give this place 5 stars.. I just HAVE TO! As a Queens native, Dani's has been a part of my life forever. I love their pizza. They give nice slices at an amazing price. Their pizza is easily in my top 5. During those midnight cravings, Dani's provides that fix. The lines tend to get intimidating but the the workers are quick. Really quick. Sweet sauce on pizza is fire and I am urging for a slice while typing this LOL. Their beer is satisfying and for 4$ it hits a home run. Pesto slice is very popular here but I'm not the biggest fan. Overall I gotta recommend this place, its a major part of Queens and NYC. Try them out, you can thank me later.
this pizza is incredible! so cheap and delicious- it is near my work and i go all the time! i just wish they had the pesto pie more often because its so dang good! in my opinion some of the best NYC pizza
I've only been here on Sunday's when my friend and her fam drive over after our Trader Joes runs. It gets really crowded and you have to wait at least 10 minutes for your food but it's worth the wait. Two rather large slices of pizza and soda for around $7 is a pretty good deal. Their sauce is on the sweeter side and it has the perfect amount of cheese on it!
Left my heart at Dani's, truthfully. I've been thinking about it every day since. There's a strong neighborly vibe going on this lil hole in the wall, and it's super low key. I could see myself coming here every day.. There's a reason it's been here for so long, all I'm sayin!
My coworker's car was standing outside of Dani's House of Pizza. We needed to drop something off at the Post Office and I was starving for pizza. I had always wanted to come here since I pass by it all the time, so here was an opportune moment. I didn't need the slices reheated – that's how quick I wanted a slice.
By the counter area, these guys are efficient! I requested a pesto slice, but was told I'd have to wait 15 minutes as a fresh one was being made, so I just ordered a plain slice. Everything seems to be in and out, so nothing sits there for a while. The guy taking care of the customers took multiple orders, simultaneously, and two separate amounts of cash and returned the right amount of change. I don't know, but that's impressive to me.
I ran out with a slice and it was heavenly. Good pizza here. Thumbs up.
So, being a somewhat active Yelper, it saddens me to admit I've never heard of Dani's before. It's deff one of them places you have to try if you're yelping. But to my defense, New York is SATURATED with pizza parlors, most of them being below mediocre. This has the adverse affect on me of not even wanting to try the good places, for some reason. The Pizza game is all sorts of fucked up these days.
Luckily, couple of weeks ago, my brother was on the hungry side late night and wanted pizza. He asked me to accompany him and because it was Friday, I accompanied him. He said we were going to Dani's Pizza, to which I thought in my head, "ok, probably another regular degular pizza place". Since then, I've recanted that thought.
Long story short, we got a veggie pie and a pesto slice. I fell in love with the veggie and really appreciated the thick and sweet sauce! It's not supposed to be thin, orange, and bland; it has to be thick, red and sweet! Dani's got it right!
I'm not the biggest fan of pizza, but I can see myself coming back here.
Great pizza. Open late. Cheap. What more can you ask for ?
Also they hold a pizza eating contest every summer
