“Your dollar stretches further, you get to have fun aiming for overpriced prizes.”

“The portions of a Philly cheesesteak alongside freshly cut fries (the best) and a shrimp pasta were more than enough to fill the night before some fun.”

  1. Eat :
The food is what you would expect.  Very hit or miss bar food.  I think a burger/wings/nachos is the safest bet.  Anything else, well good luck to you.  The chicken fingers were chewy and rubbery as my co workers described them.  Waiter couldn't help us split the bill per person, so now I have to itemize everything myself so I know how much each member pays.
Also, with the eat and play. The waiter gave cards that didn't work or wasn't loaded with points.

    Play :
The real reason ppl come to Dave and Busters.  It just doesn't work anymore.  Some machines are out dated and pretty beat up.  Basketball hoops in the back is barely operation but always packed.  There's no room for new arcade additions.  Mario Kart only has 2 machines.  Daytona has 5 seats but this game looks like a racing game from the 90s.  It's just wayy to hard to find things to play in groups.   It just doesn't compare to Long Islands Dave and Busters due to lack of space and lack of maintenance.

Maybe they should buy out Applebees downstairs and put more group games.

  2. Awful. Just awful. I hate the idea of coming to any sort of chain in NYC that isn't a Duane Reade, but this is what you do when you've got a group with a need for lunch and a little time to kill before a movie. This was our second time here as we make a Saturday post-Thanksgiving AMC movie a yearly ritual.

The countdown had about one hour and twenty minutes before showtime.

1:20 – Greeted at the door with a rundown on how the place works for the two who haven't been here before. Too easy. Good hosts.

1:16 – Seated in the nearly empty dining room, maybe four other tables and a couple servers in view.

1:10 – Still not greeted, but I can see a server fixing her hair in the big mirror behind another booth

1:08 – Oh, that's our server who didn't wash her hands before bringing napkins to the table for drinks.

1:00 – We get our order in after the table decides to all do the eat and play special.

    0:55 – Drinks are here

0:53 – Three game cards are here. Confusion that we were all doing the deal.

0:50 – Three more cards are here, but we have seven people. Ask for the last card.

0:47 – Server gave us "all the cards, and now need them back to see which one isn't working." I explain that the six cards we were given were in use already, but we were shorted one. Either add one more or take it off the bill and charge for just the meal. She's annoyed.

0:45 – Exasperated manager brings us another card. Kids are playing.

0:35 – Food is here. Everyone is seated.

Chicken features in four of seven plates, three grilled and one via fingers. 4/4 are dried and overcooked, but hot. One grilled is served over cold pasta. Not room temp but actually cold. My dish (Cabo chicken) had hot meat, warm rice and cold broccoli. Three orders of fries and one sandwich were okay. Teriyaki steak with mashed potatoes looked like tasty leather, but my nephew with eat anything, so that works.

0:25 – Check back at the table. Our consensus is that we're not happy, but show starts soon. So we explain politely but don't send anything back.

0:15 – Flag and ask for the check after we discuss our less than impressive meal. Head of the table asks for a manager and gives the rundown. He takes the check away and says he'll fix things.

0:10 – Fixing meant leaving the auto gratuity for our table in place, then taking off $10 and giving a pair of $10 play cards. Thanks? I guess.

0:05 – We leave and make it to the movie. So I guess they got us out in time to earn a star.

Won't be back. Pretty much ever. I might try another location, but not by active choice.

  3. They have had a 5$ cover charge which ended up going into 5$ worth of game play for those that were 21 and over. My friends didn't even show ID and said they were minors so they didnt have to give the extra 5$, this had me thinking that the business had gone shady.

Anywho, the games were very fun! I had gotten the 12$ chip package whig comes with 60 chips and then I had used my 5$ gameplay cover to just reduce my bill to 7$.
BUT THEN they charge 3$ for a new game card.. like what… you guys are so stingy with getting stripper bills..

Enough about the poor customer satisfaction that the screaming front desk reps displayed, and lets talk about the games!

    This bothers me^

They have classic post-modern phone games like subway surfer, angry birds, temple run, and even flappy bird!
these games are "play for fun" type games and then you have the typical chuck-e-cheese games which win you tickets like hoopshooting, bowling, drop the ball, stop the light, etc.

Tickets go towards prizes like dolls, little toys, game consoles (unachievable practically), and more wonders of ratchetness.

I would say grabbing a drink and play 23-27$ worrh of games would last you a good time with a bit of booze!

    TUESDAYS ARE HALF PRICE GAMES.
^only time you should probably come haha.

Adult Arcade with a bar and restaurant (do not eat here though)

  4. My review is for the bar area – I've been twice in the last 2 weeks.

History (before I was on Yelp) has taught me to ask for my own concoctions here.  I have not had good experiences w/ their signature drinks.  They are cute and colorful yet not for those who can appreciate a good cocktail.  I think the intent is to appeal to the younger ppl, cool.  Vodka and Lemonade for me it is.  I like that the bar is spacious, nice big seats, lots of energy and big screen TV's.  I had the grilled shrimp appetizer and my friend the buffalo chicken w/ fries – we both declared it was kinda ok.  I'm sure they have better menu items.

So yea, maybe a lil break since we've been twice in such a short time but we'll most likely return because of it's convenient location.  Perfect go to when you don't wanna think too hard about what to do.

  5. We stopped at Dave and Buster's to play a few games (located in Times Square). Guest must go up to the 3rd level. The layout is really cool. I was surprised this location didn't have a tall basketball arcade. There are a variety of games for guest to enjoy. The staff was helpful while adding money & validating our cards.  I only played the mini basketball arcade since we were on a timed schedule. Surprisingly, it was laid back early in the evening (weekday). I didn't eat any food here. Dave and Buster's is a decent place to go to play games with friends. Dave and Buster's in Times Square was "A-OK".

  6. I came here for my company holiday party and the food was absolutely horrible.
I love bar food but this was basically all frozen food and the worst kind of it.

The kept passing around the same 3 meats that were inedible.
I wish they had simple mozzarella sticks or french fries.
The "buffet" was tortilla chips with watery spinach dip, a strange array of salad items, fast food quality burgers, pretzel nuggets (WTF), chicken tenders, and crappy frozen pizza.
I eat anything when I'm hungry but I couldn't even swallow any of this.

Oh and also the bottom shelf liquor was watered down.

Service was fine, only reason they have 1 star.

  7. The crowd is crazy here! We went here twice during our NYC trip because we had free $20 with $20 purchase through the New York pass. My brother really enjoyed some of the games here like the kungfu panda, flappy birds, angry birds, etc. those are really easy to earn points… But yeah some of the games we had to wait forever just because the place is super small but there was tons of people. It gets really loud, and also phone signal is lost in the building so I almost lost my brother at one point. But overall, fun to spend time here if you can beat the crowd.

  8. Friday dinner for my aunt's birthday. Got there & no need to wait because theres a lot of tables available. There's 7 of us in total & 4 of us got there first and they seated us anyway. While waiting for 3 other friends, we got our drinks & waiter give us more time to look at the menu. After 10 minutes our friends arrived & still figuring out what to get.

We were ready to order & was waiting for our server to come back but he was really busy, in which We understand because he was serving a lot of tables so we just waited for him. But after like 30mins of waiting we asked another server to call our server because he never came back! Finally after 40 mins of waiting, he came & took our order. But it took almost an hour before our food came. 1 of our friends didn't get what she ordered so we mentioned it to our server again that theres literally 1 missing order. This restaurant is so bad. We spent like 3 hours in this restaurant and majority of it was waiting. 🙁
