Went to Food Gallery 32 to grab a quick lunch. I was immediately intrigued by the making of the taiyaki to your left as you walk into Food Gallery. I ordered the plain taiyaki (with red bean paste. 1 piece for $3.) and small fish cakes with sprinkles chocolate dip (8 pieces for $7.5). I think Otafuku in East Village makes better red bean paste taiyaki, as they make it a little bit crispy on the edges, at Delimanjoo, the taiyaki is way too soft and chewy (too much dough). The small fish cakes with sprinkles chocolate dip are really good. The mini fish-shaped cakes are filled with custard and the chocolate dip makes them taste like chocolate covered twinkies (but better tasting :)). They offer box deals, the more you buy the cheaper the per unit cost.
Just an update that this place is now found mostly inside of Food Gallery 32 next to Bunn. There is a stand outside of BCD Tofu occasionally as well
