“It's not like the traditional NY pizza, ala Lombardi's or John's.

I had a plain and grandma slice.”

“Anyway, anytime I'm home on the UES and want a chicken parm hero (which isn't a rarity), this is my go-to.”

“If you sit in and have a chicken dish, you also get a massive house salad and a bread basket that includes garlic knots.”

  1. Finally…a good slice on the UES.   Regular pie didn't look good so went with the grandma and Sicilian at just $2.75 each.  Grandma crust was perfectly cooked, chewy, doughy soft inside and delicious..so was the slightly sweet flavorful sauce and basil.  Not too much oil either.  Sicilian was huge with too much cheese and needed more sauce on it.. Good doughy crust.    We were bad and went back after eating 4 slices in the car for 2 more. New Grandma pie came out and it wasn't as good! Crust was too crispy– cooked much longer and too much oil.  So it shows consistency varies but would return!

  2. Delicious pizza, amazing pasta, quick friendly service and late delivery past midnight when I called.

Custom Portobello pasta dish- incredible.  I skimmed Yelp photos to decide what I would like and saw a dish I couldn't find on the menu. Employee said no problem they could make it . It was wonderful. Loaded with fresh portobello mushrooms, linguine cooked just right. Big garlic chunks and a perfectly flavored garlic oil sauce.

The pizza- fantastic ! This may be a new pizza goto spot for me. I grew up visiting the buffalo area with some killer buffalo pizza and wings – and have not found a NYC pizza I absolutely love like my fave buffalo pizza – but this pizza made an impression.

The pasta Fagiole – I was underwhelmed. It lacked flavor and could have used more salt and tomato base. My picky son liked it though.

Recommend for amazing pizza, great pasta and late night delivery.

  3. What I've tried: regular pizza, grandma pie, caesar salad

Tip: If you're a lover of saucy pizza, get the grandma pie

Simply, the pizza here is pretty good, but not the best. The ratio of cheese to sauce is usually nice and the sauce has good flavor, but is not as sweet as I like.  I'm a lover of pizza with a good amount of sauce, so I like the grandma pie.  I ordered a caesar salad as well, and it was so drenched in dressing that it is almost inedible.  Would I go back?  Yes I think so.. until I find a better pizza place in the area.

  4. Good pizza for ues. Small place that looks casual but then they have a really nice dressy part in the back. The staff is attentive and super nice to children. They even bring them drinks in plastic cups with straws. The slices looked regular but the grandma and vodka slice looked great. I had the eggplant parm which was huge! More than enough for two.

  5. Ive been going to this location for years. Mostly delivery to work, nurses LOVE fresh, hot pizza! Fast delivery and they never let us down! Ordered a few pies, LATE night, tonight and they delivered. Plates, napkins and seasonings. Not too salty, thin crust. Whats not to like?!

  6. E-Scale: 7.5/10

These guys make great pizza! and if you go there for a sit down dinner the rest of the food is just simple delicious Italian food. I especially love the baked ziti. They even make a mean (well seasoned) steamed broccoli.
Yes, I LOVE their steamed broccoli! Better than any chinese food spa menu!!
My only issue is that their sliced pizza are pretty expensive.
It's worth it to buy a whole pie, but if you are looking for a quick cheap slice on a friday night, go elsewhere!

  7. I had never heard of grandma pizza until I stumbled upon this place on Seamless. Now I am hooked!!! The grandma pie here is delicious — perfect sauce, perfect crust and whatever topping your heart desires. I'd say it's a bit more expensive than I'd like to pay for pizza but then again you're on the UES. Delivery is fast and the people are very nice.

  8. Sometimes I'll come here for a Margherita or plain slice if I need a quick bite.

Definitely better than the other pizza places in the neighborhood. At least the slices haven't given me food poisoning yet (which I've experienced from Gotham pizza and one other pizza place nearby).

The other thing I like is the chef salad which is delicious. Also the garlic knots are yummy and worth the zillion calories.

This place is worth ordering from (fast delivery as well) but I would skip the pasta at Delizia. No offense, but my non-Italian friends make more authentic pasta than Delizia does. Not to mention better tasting.

Still worth a solid 3/5 stars just based on the pizza alone.
