  1. I'm a fan!
I was looking for something fast that didn't taste fast, and this was a nice compromise. The food is fresh, you can customize things if you want to, and you have a lot of options to add sides or combine things to make a dinner combo just the way you want it. Will return!

  2. Dig Inn is a good choice when you're making changes that will benefit your health, but I wouldn't recommend it otherwise.

    For my lunch:
Wild Sockeye Salmon w Brown Rice
    Sides: Kale and Sweet Potato
    Cost: $11

I made the mistake of giving kale another go.  Despite its numerous health benefits and versatility for cooking/eating, my taste buds just still don't like it, and Dig Inn's quality ingredients still don't make it any better.

Sweet potato was the enjoyable part of the meal, but not enjoyable enough to warrant part of an $11 price tag.

Salmon was very dry, and very small portioned; not very enjoyable.  Many a sprinkling of salt and pepper snowed upon the itty fillet.

For a $10+ lunch, this wasn't worth it to me; particularly because I wasn't very full at the conclusion of the meal and it didn't taste great.  If your goal is to get your health on though, this might become a go-to.

The line will seem impossibly long, but it actually passes very quickly with the line assembly thing they've got going on.

  3. Fast and healthy lunch option, on the pricy side though! Service is speedy quick and I nearly ran out of time looking through all the options for sides. Typical order for a lunch platter is a grain (rice/faro), a protein, and 2 sides. I went with the faro, salmon, mac, and brussel sprouts. (I highly recommend the upscale mac as a side, I could eat that everyday…) Taste was great overall, but slightly disappointed with the small-ish portion for a "large" order. Other than that, 4 stars!

  4. This joint is 3.5 stars in my book. It's quite expensive for a combo meal of a protein and 2 sides. The salmon was really tasty, and my favorite surprise was the curried kale with squash. Definitely spring for it! Their regular kale left alot to be desired.

As soon as I entered the joint, I noticed how all of the patrons' plates were sort of a compos-table combo tray.. I could've sworn that either this place copied whole foods' concept (or vice versa).  It makes you leave feeling like you're feeding your body something healthy with something that doesn't taste like cardboard.

  5. Highly impressed by the quality of the food here. I sampled a few things before I picked anything. Had salmon over brown rice with pesto and sweet potatoes and kale. Everything was incredible I could barely choose just two sides. Very easy for people with gluten or dairy issues. Everything is well labeled and seemed fresh. Salmon was cooked fresh to order. The restaurant was clean and had a good atmosphere. Will be back VERY soon!! So delicious.

  6. Affordable, ethical sourcing, fast service, well executed, healthy, tasty food.

I had the charred chicken with quinoa tabbouleh, roasted cauliflower, and sauteed kale with tomatoes.

Charred chicken: juicy, good grill flavor.
Quinoa Tabbouleh: the grains were well cooked, nicely al dente. Cucumber and parsley kept it light and fresh.
Roasted Cauliflower: this was a miss, no real roasted flavor, a little under-done.
Kale with Tomatoes: great, really tender, velvety feeling kale. Really nice acidity and brightness. I would eat a bowl of this alone.

  7. Good and healthy options. Didn't love the cold broccoli salad and too many squash options.

  8. Dig Inn knows how to cook its vegetables. I come here at least a couple of times weekly and I don't even bother getting meat anymore. (Granted their salmon is also amazing with the pesto) Order a large veggie plate for less than $8 and you got yourself an extremely good lunch without even realizing it's vegan. Right now the winter menu has 3 of my favorite vegetable dishes ever: curried kale + delicata squash, sunchoke + endive salad, roasted carrots w/ kale pepita pesto. The roasted carrots, on a good day, is bangin'. (Sometimes it's undercooked and crunchy.) I am also a huge fan of the farro + butternut base right now. Different from the bulgur and heartier in my opinion.
