  1. 2 words. STEAK NIGHT.

The space is Irish pub. But there are high top tables as well as low top tables in the back if I recall correctly.

The skirt steak was absolutely delicious. It came with french fries or mash potatoes. The price point for the deal was good as well. The only disappointing thing was that only 1 order per customer. If it was 2 orders per customer I probably would have stayed longer, ordered a few more drinks, etc. The owner, Chris was really nice. He even came over and chatted with us for a few.

I'm definitely like this place. They also have wing night which I will have to come back for.

    FAN.

  2. Everyone says they have great wings. Perhaps they were having an off day, but the wings did not impress me all that much. We stopped in in the middle of the afternoon and the place barely had a crowd, which is fine. There was a strong odor that smelled like sewage and it stuck around for about an hour but my friend was determined to have me try their wings so we stuck around.

The hot garlic wings were extremely salty. I winced upon my first bite. The garlic parmesan wings were slightly better since they were a dry rub, however, the cheesy taste was a bit overpowering. Their beer selection is pretty disappointing. I was talked into a Belgium ale and it ended up being a crappy Shock Top. The bartenders are super nice, though, and the bathrooms are very clean. They also have additional seating in the back.

Not sure I'll be returning for the wings…

  3. This is a Packer's fan's bar, so this place gets 5 stars from me.

Tuesdays is 25 cent wing night, Wednesday is $10 steak night (as long as you order $10 of food with it).

They have several TVs for your viewing pleasure, even though the bar is a bit narrow and cozy.

The staff was friendly and attentive, and seems like a really nice local bar to go to.

  4. Quarter wings are so hard to come by now!

Luckily, in a small bar tucked away in Astoria lies such a magical place. Every Tuesday night, Dillinger's hosts their $.25 wings night, and I was roped in by one of my friends.

It's not the most accessible by subway (RM is about a 7 minute walk away), and I took the long route when the trains weren't coming for a while (beautiful walk from 30th Ave N). Upon arrival, it looked like there would almost always be a wait. Because we arrived on the later end of chow time (8PM), we snagged a large table after only 15 minutes of waiting.

Everyone at the table is required to order either a drink or side to get in on the wings deal, so we started the table off with a few pitchers and fries. Now the waiting game.

They must make the wings to order because we waited a good 20 minutes for our first round. The wings themselves were pretty decent: meaty, crispy without being too crunchy, and doused with a good sauce ratio. The hot wings were a pretty typical buffalo. The hot garlic was the hot variety tossed with some minced garlic which gave it that extra kick. The barbecue were the most boring, but I'm not a big BBQ sauce to begin with. Our bones trays quickly filled up, and we were on to round 2 (which came much quicker). In between courses, we got a platter of tatchoes, which were completely amazing. Exactly as it sounds, it's everything in a loaded nachos dish on a bed of tater tots instead. They were gone in seconds.

The bill was pleasantly surprising, only $17pp after a wings meal and several rounds of beer. Although it's very out of the way for me, I wouldn't turn down a future offer to meet up with friends.

  5. Came in for steak night & get this…its $10!!

$10 steak, I was def skeptical about what trickery my guest & I were in for.

Seated immediately at our choice of tables, we were promptly greeted by our server who recognized we were first timers.

Told us about the different specials each night & assured us we would return next week after trying the steak. The steak comes with fried onions & no side. I think it was $2 for garlic mashed potatoes or veggies, fair side dish prices.

They had jalapeño poppers so I ordered those as an app Bc I FUCKING LOVE jalapeño poppers!! They were good, would definitely reorder.

We also split the buffalo Mac n cheese. As we both love Mac n cheese & it was ok. I'd prob reorder but I don't think I'll have a deep craving for the Mac.

I haven't eaten steak in over a year Bc ..well I duno why but this was great. I hate having to use steak sauce or dilute the flavor with ketchup & I didn't even have to think about additional seasoning as this was PERFECT. Whatever process they have its tried & true!

We ate a lot. I left VERY full & very happy. Will return. Everyone is also super pleasant there.

  6. This place is AMAZING !!!

Check their Twitter as they post their daily specials on there !

Wednesday is 10 dollar steak night and wow it does not fail ! However wings night was kind of a disappointment as they use I guess the cheapest wings possible, however the wings on any night but wing night are amazing !! Get the dillengers sauce, best combo of spicy and just a little sweetness.

Buffalo Mac and cheese is a must !! My friend and I travel all the way from the Bronx for this dish, the staff is also pretty great!! Sometimes they may get a little "busy" with all the testosterone flowing during football season but they make it up with the great food and great attitudes (they apologized for getting distracted)

So please ! Go spend your money here and leave with a full happy belly !

  7. Whether you want to watch the game at the bar or sit in the dining room and have a quiet dinner – Dillinger's provides great atmosphere.  Service is friendly and they have quite a selection of drinks to choose from (be in beer or something a bit stronger).  The garlic pretzel is an absolute must!!!!

  8. Anything Dillinger's lacks in fanfare it makes up for ten-fold in specials and friendly staff. This is one of those bars where you are greeted like an old friend upon arrival, which is especially hard to find in New York City. Tuesday nights are fantastic here where guests can chow down on 25 cent wings . . . I know! If you're not drinking, you'll have to order an additional menu item or soda to get the deal, but let's be real, you're going to want to slam some beers. Pay a little extra and try the garlic hot wings. They are to die for! Dillinger's also hosts a steak night, a bottomless brunch and countless other "specials". It's worth checking out if you appreciate a cozy hangout with people who make you feel right at home. Also the garlic cheese fries are up there as some of the tastiest I've ever tried.
