“I also got the Dino Poutine and I have to say the pork was some of the best pulled pork I have ever eaten!”
“Not sure how it compares to the Harlem location, but I can certainly attest to Brooklyn's. Deviled eggs were a highlight.”

My bf likes to go here whenever comes to BBQ. The staffs are nice, services are friendly, and food comes fast.
They have great Bloody Mary, said by my bf, since I don't drink that at all. I prefer there lemonade instead, it's so fresh with all meat.
As to food, they offer big portions. I normally order the salads with some meat, which makes me feel less guilty?! Lol
If u r a meat, BBQ lover, I'd definitely recommend this place.
The food here is great. I ordered the Memphis BBQ pulled pork sandwich platter ($12) that comes with two sides. I picked baked beans and mashed potatoes. The sandwich was delicious, the coleslaw perfectly mixed with the smoky BBQ sauce. Though I definitely recommend using the two BBQ bottles they give you to add extra flavor. The baked beans were smoky and the mashed potatoes with soft and fluffy. Overall, a great meal.
However, the service at this place is pretty terrible. Our waiter didn't come around to check on us and took forever to get our drinks. We hadn't even finished eating when he brought around the check and I (apologetically) asked him if I could order another drink. I did, he brought me the wrong one, and left us with the check again. We were trying to watch a Euro Cup game and could have easily stayed and ordered several more drinks for the duration of the match. I looked around to make sure there were empty tables (there were) and no line (confirmed: no line). It was extremely aggravating being pushed out for no real reason. We left at half time, annoyed.
Not entirely sure I'll return. BBQ in Brooklyn is fairly plentiful and better service can be found elsewhere.
Cant speak for evrything else… but their wings are awesome. Good variety of beers. Heated outdoor seating for those chilly fall days
First off, I am not a big fan of BBQ. Dinosaur BBQ in SYRACUSE, however, changed my mind. I used to carpool with friends and take 2 hour round trips just for their food, once a month. Think about how excited I was to hear that another branch opening up in my hometown.
Keyword: "WAS"
I came here with about seven other friends and we were all starving from a 3 hour hike in PA. Needless to say, anything we would have eaten would have been delicious. We ordered two family menu items and a bunch of sides. We were all drooling looking at everyone else's food. We seriously looked up every time we saw our waitress just to see that our food has not arrived. It came about one hour later, and this is thanks to POKEMON GO that we were patient and did not badger the waitress too much. When our food came, it was open season. Everything was up for grabs, we dug in like savages…..and we are also damn fools. The meat was terrible. It was nothing like the same quality in Syracuse. It was hard and the lamb patty or whatever it was WAS FRIGGEN BURNTTTT. I thought it was a hockey puck that was served to us. I tried to take a picture, but it blended in with the darkness of the restaurant. I thought it was just my friend's shadow but nope….that ishh was burnt to the max. The cornbread was a legit brick. I tried to bite into 3 of them, all the same. I am so upset I paid 20 a head for this meal. I ate McDonalds after and was so much more satisfied than having this "BBQ".
Yesterday, after drinking my head off for three hours at the Tapped Beer Festival at Barclays Center, I went back in time with a few friends to the prehistoric ages of BBQ.
This was my third time at this Jurassic location (too many Dinosaur jokes?) and it probably won't be my last. A smart tip, if you know you're coming, head online to Open Table and grab a reservation. We had an 8:30 one which worked out perfectly with the ending of the event.
The prehistoric feel to it is more of an old school BBQ joint that you might find driving down Route 66 or maybe in the middle of the desert somewhere. There's an awesome chandelier made of bottles in the main dining area which adds to the rustic charm. I went with the combinations section, choosing two meats (pulled pork and link sausage) along with choice of two sides (mac n' cheese and fries) and cornbread. The pork was juicy and tender with a lil ol' pickle on top, and the sausage had a unique flavor to it, but one that's quite enjoyable. Mac n' cheese had a tiny kick to it and the fries tasted freshly cut. Add a couple of sauces on the table and it was an awesome post-drink meal fit for a t-rex.
Overall, I felt like a dinosaur by the end of dinner, but that was a good thing. So if you're lookin' for some nice BBQ (maybe pre/post Barclays Center), this Brooklyn location is a quality spot. I'll surely be coming again to get my dino on.
Back when I first reviewed Dinosaur four years ago, the BBQ landscape in NYC was VERY different and about 10 times smaller. Times done changed and competition is now fierce, all over, but especially in BK. I fell in love with Dinosaur during my undergrad years at Syracuse, where the original Dinosaur is a local legend. The Park Slope branch is ok but within the context of today's BBQ scene, Dinosaur is good, not as great as it used to be. Chipotle wings are still out of this world though.
I have been here several times but mainly for drinks. I have also been to work events where Dino BBQ has catered.
Ambience: Large, busy, and a bit loud. They play 90s and 00s music but it is constantly interreptued by the hostess calling people to be seated. Perhaps they should invest in those devices that shake when your table is ready. Most of the crowd are young people 20s and 30s although you sometimes see some families as well.
Service: We made reservations ahead of time but still had to wait 10 minutes and had to remind the hostess we were here. Our waiter was nice but MIA. I do not think it was his lack of customer service skills as much as it was the restaurant being understaffed on a very busy night.
Food: Potato salad is good, mac and cheese is ehh, but the ribs? Ohhhh the ribs, just melt-in-your-mouth out of this world, kind of ribs. The pork sliders were also yummy. We also had the devilish eggs, which I think were tasty.
Although I didn't order it this time, if they still have the donkey punch, then I suggest you order it as well.
Overall, good spot, specially if you are in the mood for ribs.
If you're looking for BBQ, then yes this very much fits the bill.
We can at around 9 on a Saturday night, there was a 45 min wait for two people, but plenty of space (and full service) at the bar.
This was a great option, our waitress/bartender was really nice and attentive.
We ordered the sweethearts deal, which is a full rack + 4 sides. And uh, unless you and your sweetheart are big beefcakes, there's no way you'll need more than that. (Deal + 3 beers ended at about $25/piece all things considered)
The Mac and cheese is the obvious best sides.
The beers really cheap, they have live music Friday's and Saturdays, and the inside is pretty cute/themed.
Overall, not the fanciest place, but good for beer, BBQ, and rowdy Brooklyners.
