Dirty Bird to-go
“A little pricey for fried chicken, but where in the FiDi / Tribeca area are you going to find good fried chicken except for Popeyes?”
“They also bottle their own hot chili pepper vinegar 🙂
I will definitely be back for the chicken, but the sides are also really fantastic.”
“I've also had the smashed potatoes and rice and beans which are ok
Over all dirty bird to go is great I recommend it to any bird lovers down here in FIDI.”

Wow. This fried chicken spot is on fleek! Did I use that word right? Do I seem young and hip? Do people still say young and hip? Do I really need to tell you what's worth ordering in a fried chicken joint? Hint: It's the fried chicken.
Amazingly tasty fried chicken! The sides are delicious and the portion size is guilt free! The staff hustles to get you in and out, even walking up to you within the restaurant to serve you your plate or personally hand you your "to go" bag. The cookies are pretty good too. Pass on the chicken nuggets go straight for the fried chicken. Fun atmosphere and music sounds like a Santigold soundtrack (love her!) Oh dirty bird!
Chicken tenders with honey mustard and corn bread.
That's all I need in my life.
My coworker swears my the mashed potatoes, but I've never tried. To me, the fried chicken is a TAD bit salty, but still freakin delicious, crisp on the outside, while maintaining the moisture inside.
If you eat in, there is beer and wine available, but I find that the restaurant is just too hot inside for me.
Staff is really friendly. It's hard to find genuinely friendly people in the quick food service.
Yummy experience. Moist, flavorful experience and tasty mashed potatoes. Loved the portion size too — not too much, not too little. Tasty cornbread as well! What a nice crunch it had! Friendly staff and chill vibe. I'd go back!
Came here for lunch on a Monday. It had a number of people there, but the place is designed as such that you really can't find more than 15 people in here without having a really tight squeeze.
I ordered the fried chicken sandwich and the mash potatoes with gravy. The chicken sandwich was absolutely great and affordable-ish. It was $8.50. The mashed potatoes I wouldn't recommend, because they kind of had a sour taste. Still, I'm looking forward to trying the other things here, such as the kale.
Overall a good experience!
Fried chicken here is bomb dot com! Crispy and golden skin on the outside. Juicy and moist on the inside.
Did you know that the cornbread is fried also?! Mind blown. So bad but tastes so good.
Decent fried or Rotisserie chicken place!! On the pricier side but def great quality. Chicken is juicy and tender.
I got the 1/4 dark Rotisserie chicken (buttermilk ranch dressing) with a mac and cheese side. The mac and cheese is super rich and creamy- HEAVY but delicious. The 1/4 dark chicken was pretty good as well. I think boston market has the same quality and is def cheaper but in nyc this is def doable as well. I also got a soda- total was around $15. The buttermilk ranch dressing was extra cost but I wanted to just try it- yummy as well. They have diff sauces. If you get the chicken tenders then it comes with sauce.
Small place with limited seating inside.
Lots of love for this place. To be fair I never gets pieces of fried chicken but I have gotten their salads, wraps and sandwiches a number of times.
Everything is consistently fresh and well prepared. A little pricey but that is Tribeca for you. I just finished eating a $9 chicken sandwich but it was so good I have no problem paying for it.
The sides can be a little touch n' go. They seem to vary in their seasoning and how well they are done. The broccoli is so hit or miss I have had to chuck it in the trash. So I just skip the sides now and grab a wrap or a salad. The oven roasted chicken on a salad or wrap is amazing.
