Simple to order online or through the app, great pizza, but AWFUL management.
In Domino's defense, I came in on "T-Mobile Tuesday" when T-Mobile users get a free medium 2-topping pizza to carry out if they opt in for the new promotion. I already planned a pizza night with my friend before finding out about this deal and I don't even have T-Mobile, but my boyfriend told me about it last minute and gave me his redemption code to use. (He's a keeper, I know!)
My ordering experience was quick and painless through the Domino's smartphone app. I placed my order, paid with a credit card using the redemption code, and not-so-patiently stalked the pizza tracker until it was ready to be picked up in the 40-45 minute timeframe it gave me.
"Order Placed – Prep – Bake – Quality Check – Ready to Pick Up"
Unless you've personally ordered from Domino's online, you won't truly understand the satisfaction of staring at the tracker as each step accurately updates lol.
My pizza was ready within the estimated timeframe, but everything went downhill once I actually got there to pick it up. One word: CHAOS.
It's a VERY small place. They have 3 chairs to sit in while you wait for your order and there's a tiny counter in the corner for two people to dine in, but there were at least 15 people standing and waiting for their orders to be called out.
Here are my gripes about this location, assuming this is the only Domino's location managed by someone who doesn't have the word "efficiency" in their vocabulary:
– The employees only write the toppings on the pizza boxes; no customer name or order number. I saw papers being printed every few seconds (as pictured below). Someone should be taping them onto the appropriate pizza boxes to make business run more smoothly.
– They don't ask you for your order confirmation email. Someone could've ordered a plain medium pizza 45 minutes ago and someone could've ordered the same thing just now and if that person who just ordered walked in and asked for it, they could easily just take the other person's order who has been waiting for 45 minutes.
I felt so bad for some patrons who have been waiting up to 2 hours for orders that claimed to be ready for carryout, but I also felt bad for the one employee that was supposed to be sorting the boxes. He was the only one doing the most difficult job – sorting the boxes and dealing with the angry customers yelling at him. He calmly said he was doing the best he could, and I believed him. But they NEED to change the way they do things here. They were SO understaffed, but they should've anticipated the popularity of T-Mobile Tuesday and put more people on the schedule. It's not like they didn't get a heads up that this promotion would be happening.
The only reason why I didn't wait as long was because I ordered a pan pizza that comes in a black box instead of the regular white boxes. I spoke up and said, "Excuse me, I ordered a pan pizza. It's the only black box in that big pile of other pizzas, so you can't miss it. I also ordered a pineapple/jalapeno pizza, so they should be right next to each other." He picked out my order, I asked if I had to show him my confirmation email, he said no, and I was finally on my way home to devour my pizza.
My house is 15 minutes away and I had to wait for my friend to set up the TV so we can watch Zootopia, so we didn't start eating until about 20 minutes after I got back into my car. Even after the 20 minutes, my pizza still tasted very hot and delicious so I have no complaints about my order and its freshness. I'll probably order here again on a different day of the week to see if the service and turnaround time is any different when the deal isn't going on, but management really needs to be replaced for sure.
hangover food on fleek. F up some cheesy bread, then F up some hawaiin pizza, then F up some cinnamon stix before you knock the F out from the immense amount of carbs you just ingested. Get ready to hit the gym everyday for a month straight. Ill be working off all that crust for a minutttteeeeee.
