  1. $1 Burrito for Opening Day!

I'm not a big fan of fast food franchise, but nowadays, if I'm craving Mexican and you asked me to choose between Dos Toros and Chipotle, I would say Dos Toros. Chipotle has been recently skimping out on their ingredients (my burrito bowl is always 1/3 empty!).

In terms of freshness of the food, both fast food serves fresh ingredients (tastes the same to me).
Pricing is about the same; Dos Toros is a little bit cheaper by a few cents.

Drink options – Dos wins hands down with the beer option

Why only 3 stars? There's too many Dos Toros popping up. It'll be time before it too becomes another Chipotle

  2. In all fairness, I'm still on my way home so I can dig in to my carne asada burrito! Filled with cheese, beef, rice, black beans, yellow rice, peppers & onions, corn, verde sauce (medium heat), tomatoes, lettuce and guac – yessss! All for $1 at their midtown west grand opening! They have a reputation for pulling such an awesome stunt at every grand opening!

The line was out the door but moved like lightning speed! Everyone was well directed while waiting and things seemed to be running efficiently and smoothly. Service was super friendly and on point!

I'll be back with pictures and updates when I finally get to devour my burrito!

    Stay tuned…

Update – so I managed to get through three-quarters of my very durable burrito and had to take a break and update you guys! Everything tasted fresh and Dos Toros definitely represented – kudos I say. The beef was moist and tender – yet again on point. And when I  refer to it being durable, I mean it. This bad boy/girl burrito is hefty, well put together and stays together! Don't know about you but that makes a difference! How can you possibly enjoy a burrito that falls apart I ask? Never!

Dos Toros, I'll be back (terminator style, oh yeah!)

  3. I came for the grand opening.  To celebrate they had $1 burritos,  tacos, etc.  Line moved very quick and the staff were friendly.
This location is a pretty decent size.

  4. This Dos Toros Taqueria is right across from the Paley Media Museum. If you've never heard of Dos Toros, it's essentially an upscale Chipotle. This location is much larger than other locations I've been too. I was easily able to accommodate my large group after we went to visit the museum. Of course it doesn't feel like authentic Mexican food but it is good!
