Ugh, I hate it here although I visit it often and appreciate that it's open 24 hours. The morning staff is always nicer and more helpful than staff at any other time. The pharmacy is a nightmare and after a few months of getting prescriptions filled there, I took my prescriptions elsewhere. Duane Reade is super over-priced and the mass insanity and disorganization of this one makes it even worse. Also, this Duane Read is in Jackson Heights…not Flushing.
SO not a fan of this particular Duane Reade. Customer Service is meh, selection of products is meh compared to other Duane Reades and when there is a line, rest assured they will take FOREVER.
I mean, I've waited like 15 minutes just to get medicine because A.) Their cashiers are slow and management is either nowhere to be found, too lazy to pitch in and awful at line management (or managing things in general, lol) and B.) They're so conveniently close to the trains and 24 hours.
Save yourself the aggravation Jackson Heights, and walk a little more to CVS or Rite Aid or even better – the Duane Reade on 82nd street, it's closer to the train and SO much better! Your future-self will thank me :).
Very expensive, if you want anything luxury. The staff is nice, but there is usually a line when I arrive unless it's the early morning. I get the usual household products here. It is really organized and pretty expansive.
This is the most horrible DR ever but it's the closest to my home. The cashiers are poorly trained and customer service is just outright nasty and rude. I shop here often because they are 24/7 and they are just a few blocks away. At this rate, I should just bring my lazy ass to the DR on 82nd street or Walgreens on 78th. The prices are mostly outrageously high. They only thing worth getting are the sale items on the weekly ad but what is the point of that when everything on sale is almost always out of stock?? Smh.

Duane Reade, you are so overpriced, I wish you were a CVS. The only thing you have going for you is the Blockbuster movie kiosk.
