Came here after work on a Wed and was surprised to see several empty spaces on the shelves. One person was working the register so the line moved really slowly. Overall its dirtier and less organized than most; you can tell they are trying with the new cosmetic area but honestly it doesn't make up for its shortcomings.
With the new one on Wall street it's not worth going to this one unless you're really pressed for time and can't walk the extra block.
I don't understand all the hate for this DR location.
I usually come to this one, rather than the one downstairs from my office, since they have a much bigger selection. This location also includes a beauty area which carries even some high-end products. They have a huge food selection, as well. The line always moves extremely slow, which is why I had to knock off two stars.
I went in here today because it was the closest drug store to where I was working that day and my feet hurt and I needed some band aids to cover my blisters :).
I thought this was a really normal, clean Duane Reade and had no issues at all with the store. I successfully found the band aids I wanted, I even got some Australian liquorish to go with it which I love. Pretty successful time! No complaints here, not sure why there is all the hate. Reviews imply that maybe there was a remodel cause this store doesn't look run down at all now, it looks clean and new and great!
