  1. Had the duck poutine fries at Smorgs in Brooklyn. The fries were seasoned well, but there weren't too many pieces of cheese to go on top. Nice pieces of meat did help the fries overall taste but in my opinion it wasn't anything spectacular.

  2. I decided to try something new when I passed by Duck Season.  Just looking for a snack I asked for the Duck rinds. At $6 you get a decent amount of them but unfortunately they just weren't that great.  I'm not sure if they are supposed to be like this but they just tasted kind of burned and didn't have any of the richness that I would associate with rinds I've had in the past.  There were one or two pieces included that were a touch thicker where I could see what the intended flavor was. Those were good but on a whole they just kinda left a bad taste in my mouth.

Maybe I just went at the wrong time and I should've tried something else.  They seemed pretty popular so I might still give it another try.

  3. Today, I had the pleasure of trying their sliders, fat potatoes, and duck confit (duck leg) and am so glad I stopped by.

The sliders (my favorite) are perfectly balanced- crispy seemingly pulled duck, with a refreshing slaw and a light Asian tasting dressing on a delicious brioche bun. The duck confit (duck leg) meat was so tender it was falling off the bone and its skin was super crispy but delicate and easy to bite through- no unnecessary batter to waste my time. Straight to the point, awesome duck meat served with a yummy preserve (apricot maybe) and an awesome carmelized onion compote type dip.

The fat potatoes were delectable too.

Can't wait to return and support these friendly guys who are bringing duck back in style!

  4. Every item on the menu is perfection! Each bite of the duck sliders was better than the one before. The potatoes were perfectly roasted and had excellent taste. Their cherry lime soda is also delicious – coming from someone who doesn't like soda or cherry flavoring.

If you're at Smorgasburg you MUST try this place, you won't be disappointed.

  5. Duck Season's stand at Smorgasburg is bangin'! I was a little hesitant to try duck for the first time but it was awesome. Duck confit, duck rinds, sliders, they got it all. Not to mention the fat potatoes. Really can't go wrong here.
