  1. brooklyn: standard Double Ds Downtown…Triple Ds? whaaaat.

coffee. eating. seating. clean. well lit. not sure what this Dunkin Donuts is is like during the day. have only stopped by in the evening,/nights to grab eats and jump on the subway. assume it's busy during the day–foot traffic via local businesses, at night it's pretty sleepy.

my faves here are the doughnuts (munchkins m cruller!) and hashbrowns. recently i tasted DD's attempt at the fried chikn biscuit to cash in on the fried chickn sandwich craze in NYC…all i'd say is it's just okay. there's really no taste to it–no seasoning, sauce, etc. it's missing too much as a sandwich taste-wise to rec. bcuz everything here is microwaved or electric oven-ed…the food comes out super hot temperature wis (you were warned. don't burn your mouth). the standard breakfast sandwiches are served 24 hours…they are better go-to than the Dunkin Donuts more lunch-y sandwiches. my go-to is the Big N Toasted.

Btw this is a 24/7 Dunkin Donut which is an added benefit convenience-wise.

however since it is winter and supercold…in the evening to late-night or all night the homeless are customers here. they tend to camp up front or in the back or both. while it's a nice thing that the DD/staff doesn't not shoo those less fortunate away, i never stay here to eat when it's super cold or hot out bc the homeless folks here can be a bit "odorous." Unless you like snacking on doughnuts and sipping on coffee with the odor of a bag of buttholes hanging under your nose…i'd say take your food-n-coffee to go. no STANK YOU!

drops mic bc hot coffee in one hand and a cruller in another trumps all!'
    i out.
    zzz.

  2. UGHHH.

I am a Dunkin Donuts lover and I go to them all over the map. Highways and other states, countries you name it. This is by far one of the worst ones ever. However to be fair I'm not sure how much of it to blame on the area since it's so busy. This location is near the fulton street mall.

I have come here are they have had no caramel, fine. Then they didn't have brown sugar oatmeal…okay. Then i ordered a meal and when i picked up my food, the meal was not there nor was it charged!! The cashier must have had more important things to do than to listen to the order i stated more than one time. FINE everyone has bad days.

I try and eat well so I like the whole oatmeal thing. I've been here on a few occasions. When they did have oatmeal I told them to put the fruit on the side which they never do they put it in their and its too sweet for me and I have to pick them out.

The worst experience though had to be my argument with one of the employees because he messed up my order. I ordered oatmeal [what a surprise right? lol] and he filled up the entire cup with water. Thats definitely too much for anyone who knows how little it needs especially since the packet only takes up half the bowl. I explained it to him and he stated that i could just put the fruit in it and it will be okay. NO. If i cannot see a lump of oatmeal [excuse my lack of proper words] then something is wrong. The flakes are very visible, because help its oatmeal. Anyway i told him i did not want soup for breakfast and please pour some water out after him telling me five different ways from sunday of how my oatmeal was fine. He wouldn't change my oatmeal and poured most of it out. I sucked it up and took it because i had to get to work.

The oatmeal had no flavor left because of it being drained away and it was still kind of watery so it ended up falling on my skirt -____- ; I have to insert that face because I don't know how else to express my anger.

Lastly, you have to wonder…why do i keep going back!? Its the only one near my job and I suck it up to have my coffee.

Don't go if you can find another location and if you do go have patience, especially since the line is ALWAYS to the door regardless of time, day, and weather. Patience is a virtue…this is very true when talking about this locate.

  3. I don't care what anyone else says about this place-they always got my order right and they were always pleasant.  I came here to pickup breakfast every weekday for almost 7 years because I worked close by. They knew exactly what my order was and always prepared it to perfection.
Yes it's busy in the morning-Yes it's crowded, then again they serve coffee so that should be expected. They are quick, efficient, and consistent. And mind you, some of the crankiest people stroll in here & the employees always remain pleasant.
Now that I no longer work in that area, I am lost-finding another breakfast spot has become a struggle. I miss these guys and I am always sizing up other DD's to them-no one comes close.

  4. Yes, this place is crowded in the morning, at lunch time, and in the afternoon, but every time I come in here, the employees are always ready to help and are on top of their game.  I'm always surprised how fast they move people through the line.  Just be sure to know what you want and have payment ready, and the line (which is often to the door, or outside of it) moves quickly.

I also appreciate how they use the order number for foods and drinks.  It definitely helps to keep things orderly.

It's not the most pleasant DD to sit and have a coffee in given how crowded it gets and how narrow the space is, but for a morning coffee and donut, it's a solid (and fast-ish) choice.
