About a week ago I bought two egg and chesse croissants from a man who was on his phone while making it (oh, you didn't know that being on the phone leads to greater efficacy?). The sandwich wasn't hot, the bread was hard, and the cheese wasn't melted.
I came in today and told the manager what happened to my poor egg and chesse croissants. Without an issue, he gave me two more for free.
Interestingly, one of the employees (an older woman) who was making my new sandwiches accused me: "I've never seen you here before. Who made your original sandwich"? Classic. I told her that just because you've never seen me doesn't mean I've never been here. I felt like her comment was so condescending. I'm not your teenage son. If you want to test the validity of my purchase, take me to Dunkin Donuts court, don't publicly condescend.
This DD is conveniently located by the F train, but I'm always driving and parking is hard. So I hover while my buddy goes in. We get coffee or hot chocolate, perfectly adequate, no surprises good or bad. This DD is A-OK. And it's kosher, a plus for some people.
Hoppin and poppin in the AM, not surprising. The line can go almost out the door. The gentleman behind the counter seemed overwhelmed that I was asking him for a plain, uncut, untoasted everything bagel and a small black coffee. Some things are cognitively demanding, I get that.
