Stopped in with a couple of friends for a few drinks before we went out for the night. The restaurant is nice with good lighting and friendly staff. I only took a star away because the elevators are very dark and I was a little scared in them. I mean I understand the Hotel is trying to do some purple theme but please have better lighting in your elevators. The lighting seemed to just be black lights and made me very uncomfortable. Pricing was fair to good. But I have to stress even more that the lighting in the elevator was horrible. If I am to come here again and the lighting has not been made better – I will just turn away and go somewhere else.
To me my experience at a venue begins the moment I am near the property; the exterior presentation and my travel within the facility all contributes to my experience.
NEW YORK CITY: This is a tasty little restaurant that has some innovative dishes. We had a couple of menu items and they were good.
The service was nice and the modern decor was clean and attractive.
Deviled Eggs (4 stars): Tasty, flavorful, with a robust deviled egg taste. They were a little light on crab flavor, but otherwise very good.
Burger (3 stars): This burger was good, as were the fries that came with them, but not super memorable. Just a well prepared burger.
This place just opened up on the 4th floor of Yotel!
We got the:
banh mi and sweet potato fries: pretty good!
kimchee fried rice with an egg: yummm
kalbi chicken wings: a bit on the salty side
manifesto martini-green tea vodka, st germaine, thai basil and peppers: I think the peppers were a mistake -_-
Fun mix of food, but not as great as they sound/look, boo.
