  1. Nice little place for ayce sushi. My friend got a hot and sour soup which was a meal in itself. I'm a fan of yellowtail, tuna, and salmon so I had to get the tiger roll, which was okay. Surprisingly I liked all the rolls my friends ordered with crab, including shrimp tempura and spider roll. It didn't have as wide a variety of sashimi as I would have liked. Tried the white tuna which was good. The price was right and we were all stuffed at the end. $21 mon-thurs and $23 fri-sun for all you can yet – but there is a $1 fee for each piece of leftover sushi so order wisely! Byob, affordable, convenient, and speedy service means I will likely be back- with a big appetitie!

  2. I was definitely excited for a byob ayce sushi place in the area. However, the food was a bit disappointing. Some of the fish was definitely frozen and as some reviewers have said, they tend to fill or top the rolls with tempura flakes. The rolls were pretty good though. I stayed away from the other cooked items but people didn't rave about it. Service can be a bit slow and you'll likely have to flag down the waitress, but they are friendly. Overall I would come back, mainly because it's a decent deal and good place to go with a group for byob, but I would definitely choose sushi palace in Edison for a better option.

  3. HD the angry lobster roll recently and it was extremely good. It was a tiny bit spicy, but just enough that if you are not a fan of spicy food you would still enjoy it. I also ordered a California roll to go with crunch and that wAs excellent as well. I will be returning to try some additional
Specialty rolls. I really enjoyed the angry lobster roll!

  4. BIG SIZE rolls but cheap fish with lots of mayo and their EAYCE is for hungrymen,  and you better finish it all, so start with one dish at a time. Really average sahimi meat low grade, the kind real Japanese won't even eat. Cheap food at cheap prices. Friendly atmosphere.,BYO.

  5. This place is pretty good! I came here with a few friends a month ago and we had a great time. The service is very attentive and the atmosphere is relaxing and casual. My friends got the sushi buffet and they loved it (lots of yummy sounds). I got the teriyaki chicken and it was really tasty and nicely prepared. It's a BYOB place so plan accordingly and you'll have a good time here!

  6. Based on a recommendation from a few friends, I decided to give this place a try and I was really glad I did. ALL YOU CAN EAT SUSHI!! WHAT'S NOT TO LIKE?? It's a little hole in the wall in a small strip mall and if not for my friends, I'd probably just have driven on by without a second thought. Despite the fact that it was Christmas day, the place was packed and I soon understood why.

The waiter brought a few pieces of paper, listing all the different menu items and a pen. All we had to do is mark off what we wanted and how much. I started with the seaweed salad, the barbecue squid and the Miso Soup. All three were extremely delicious. It was my first time having barbecue squid and I enjoyed every bite.

Our party consisted of 4 ppl so we decided to order a bunch of different sushi rolls and share. We had the Mango Avocado roll, the Pumpkin Tempura roll, the Sweet Potato Tempura roll, the Spicy Crab roll, the Dragon roll and the Shrimp Tempura roll. We actually managed to eat it all and the food coma was more than worth it. Everything was fresh and really, really good.

And the best part was that despite ordering all that food, it came out to only $20 per person!! Do yourself a favor and give this place a try as soon as you get the chance.

  7. I'm obsessed with East Gate. I come here whenever I'm craving sushi! They have this awesome unlimited sushi deal for like $22 and it is literally all you can eat PLUS that includes all the appetizers, small plates, soup, salads, and even ice cream. The sushi is alway fresh and the staff is very nice. It's an amazing deal and the sushi tastes great which is why I keep coming back. Also they are BYOB!

  8. I would love to give this place a better review BUT due to the service and the breathing down our backs three stars is pretty generious. We came here based on the sole fact that a friend recommended it and it was close to work.

We were a party of 9 including 3 children. Once we arrived we were seated, we did call ahead. We were seated right by the sushi bar which is fine but man, can we get some privacy?!  I mean, if you want you might as well grab a chair and join our conversation.
Granted, we were a loud group but still. It was so uncomfortable the stares we got from staff and how they just stood by our table.

Food was good. I was actually surprised by how good it was. We did that all you can eat. The portions are small but I get that they don't want to waste food. But with that said, sushi is huge! Large rolls and they charge
you a dollar a piece for left over sushi.

Even with the weird service I would go back. It's pretty good food.
