  1. My coworker spotted the Eddie's Pizza Truck on our block today (Water St & Maiden Ln).

He wanted to try their Gluten Free pizza on because it is impossible to find in gluten-free in  Fi Di !

He tried the Gluten Free 12" Pizza at $10- They gave him half pepperoni for free.  He said it was surprisingly delicious but he was disappointed on how little substance.
    Rated 4/5.

I tried the Caprese Sandwich- tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, fresh basil, pesto for $7- the sandwich tasted very fresh and the bread deliciously crusty. Rate 4/5.

    Other notes:
    $10 Lunch Special- personal (10") pizza with 1 topping, side, & water/soda.
They have 28 different pizza topping.
    They have Fat-free cheese!

Overall: good food on the pricey side.

  2. Finally tried Eddie's Pizza truck, which is on Hudson Street every Friday.  I have checked them out on yelp, and was not impressed by the pictures, so it took me 2 years of seeing the truck every week to try it, which is a pretty long time for me to wait to try pizza.  I had the White Arugula small pie (Arugula, Ricotta, Artichoke Hearts, Tomatoes, Truffle Oil, Mozzarella) for $10 and was pretty happy with it.  That said, this definitely is not pizza, but more like a flatbread.  So many restaurants have flatbreads on their small plate menus and it's really a pizza, and Eddies is calling it a pizza, but if you know you're really getting a flatbread, you will not be disappointed.  There was a lot of arugula on the pie, but it was not too dry because it was sprayed with some olive oil.  Not a lot of cheese, but enough, a little truffle oil, and a good amount of tasty artichokes.  Overall I was pretty happy with the meal, and even though it is a very thin crust, it definitely fills you up.  I was concerned a small was not going to cut it, but I almost couldn't finish it.  I bet it would not have been as filling without all of the arugula.  This is a good salad pizza, and I will have it for lunch again one day, but I'm not sure I would try the more traditional pies.

  3. Glad I didn't read the reviews here before ordering my lunch.

I had a chicken parm hero, the portion was huge, the sauce was great and the bread wasn't stale. Overall delicious.

The service on the truck was sweet as well, I'd definitely return – hopefully this time they'll give me napkins because I nearly made a mess conquering that giant sandwich!

  4. Whoaaa… a lot of negative reviews but hey – to each his/her own.

The truck was parked right in front of my building and after missing it so many times, I've decided to trek down and order me some. They have the lunch special for $10 which includes a bar pie (one topping), salad or cookie, and a beverage of your choice (soda or water). I was lucky enough to not wait on line, but I did have to wait for my pizza to be cooked in the oven. The wait was roughly about 5-7 minutes, which isn't long at all. The staffs behind the truck were friendly.

Back up into my office, I started with the salad which wasn't so impressive. It came with regular vinaigrette dressing which I really like. The pizza was one of a kind, I've never had bar pizza before but what's there not to love about a thin crust pizza. I loved how the cheese overrides the crust and I can actually finish the whole pie. Seriously a cute pizza and it tasted quite darn good.

  5. I've been wanting to try Eddie's Pizza Truck for a long time. Eddie's Pizza Truck was actually one of the food trucks that took part in "Food Truck Thursdays" in Downtown Brooklyn by MetroTech so I was ecstatic about it.

There were so many different pizzas to choose from, but I ended up choosing the Margarita pizza and with the $10 lunch special  *from 11AM-3PM* where I also got a soda and one side: creamy tomato soup. I really enjoyed the Margarita pizza, so thin and so yummy! I smelled he fresh basil from the pizza box and it smelled insanely good! I ended up finishing the whole pie. The creamy tomato soup was really creamy and tasted great!

Overall, the $10 lunch special turned out to be a good deal and possibly one of the best $10 I ever spent! I do crave to try their other pizzas, but I guess it will happen when I actually run into another Eddie's Pizza Truck.

  6. Went for their free pizza promotion awhile back. Gotta say, their pizza is pretty god!

Thin whole wheat crunchy crust, good cheese to sauce ratio, they use delicious fresh cheese (none of that hard, weird, transcluscent dried up, shredded cheese here folks!).

Plus a 10 inch bar pie is only 270 cal. Nice! 😀 – my only gripe here is that for pizza coming from a truck, they're a littttttttttle pricer than I'm used to for street pizza…but it's still delicious!

  7. Thinnest pizza I ever saw but very good.. got with spinach, feta, the 2 young guys working the cart (rather than the truck they have at least one  truck and at least one cart in addition to an actual restaurant location) , parked by the little triangular park by Lincoln Center (a wonderful seating area!), were quite friendly on my visit.  $8.50 pizza margarita with basel, mozzarela, tomatoes hit the spot and filled me up .. they claim the 10 inch personal pizza has only 270 calories, perhaps cuz the crust is like a millimeter thick. that's alright by me, more emphasis on taste and nutritious ingredients and less on flour..

  8. They put a frozen chicken cutlet on my sandwich.

    I gave it back.
